You have blown a line. This is not an expensive fix, as you can buy bulk lines at most auto stores. Will need someone to help you "bleed" the brakes tho. Bleed the one furthest from the master cylinder.....and keep going. Furthest, next furthest etc. Use a hose to save the brake fluid.
Good luck.
As an after thought, this could also be a rubber brake line, as it may have to flex at the point you indicated. Still same scenerio tho.

You blew a brake line, sorry dude .... if you are good with cars the line is not too expensive if you can put it in, of course after you do you will need to bleed the brakes etc. If not you perhaps you might know someone who could help you out???

It's a brake line for sure. Just hope its not the steel line running down the frame to the rear end (very difficult to replace), but if it's the feeder hose to the rear brakes, not hard to change and shouldnt cost more than 20 bucks.
Find the source of the leak first, and if it's leaking at a fitting try tightening it first, sometimes it works, but not very often.

where are you at ... someone on the board may can help if you are close
It's either a loose connection, or a hole in the line. The only way to make certain is to get under the vehicle and trace the line until you find the leak. If you have a wrench and abilty to bleed the brake lines once you have repaired what is defective your costs should be minimal.
best of luck .. FDD

Then set it on fire and stay warm.

probably the rubber line dry rotted. brake lines are hard lines (metal) from master cylinder to rear axle. rubber line runs to the rear axle because of articulation of axle.

sounds like some hard ice may have been slung up by the tires and cut the line. dont try to drive the car if the pedal is mushy and goes to the floor.
everybody posted before i could even get it typed out, lol.

if it is the rubber part go to the hardware store and buy a brass barbed union and 2 small hose clamps to repair the cut. bleeding the brakes requires some experience. take it to a high school auto shop class. mabye they will help. good luck.
