If you are going to split up, might as well be swingers, I have jokingly given that advice so many times over the years.

Funny thing is a few times they followed my advice.

I have smarted off with that line a few times at local hangouts with bar acquaintances.

One time the couple said they tried it, had fun, did some swapping but still divorced anyways.

Another couple that I jokingly told this to, they tried it and have put their divorce on hold.

Spoke to both of them today, hubby said he got super jealous watching his wife ride another mans cock, wife said she felt a little hurt seeing her husband enjoy another woman's blow job so much.

Now they had already hired attorneys so they were serious about splitting, so they went all in with swinging, full swap, dating separately, the whole 9 yards.

Well both agreed they did not like knowing their spouse was out getting laid with other people so they only play together now.

A couple about to divorce will only play together now, LOL

They both agree that they do not know how long the truce will last, they still have differences that they need to work out, but both said they have realized they still love each other.

I thought it was kind of cool, and funny, they have kids so I hope they find long term happiness with their new lifestyle.

I've read a lot of sh*t at this site but this one takes the cake. lol. Let's see, a couple having serious marriage problems goes out and swaps with another couple and miraculously it improves their marriage. Got it.

You know, it sounds so crazy that I might just believe it! Probably better that going to some councilor who will milk them dry and get nowhere with them.

I am constantly being asked if I am serious because I have this stoic poker face when taking sh*t.

We have a bunch of transplants in my area now, mostly ultra liberal.

Some of these liberal transplants have sucked up a little and tell me about how they empathize with "my people" and how we got here.

I usually go into this long story about my immigrants parents carrying me as a baby across the Rio Grande, how we walked and hitchhiked all the way from the border to Dallas.

How we lived on the streets until my father could find work as a gardener and later in construction.

That story has gotten me many free drinks! Hahahaha

@rachelusa24, IDL, I am old AF and over the years, back when I use to go to lifestyle clubs, I ran into all sorts of couples that would joke about if not for swinging, they would have divorced.

I confess, I have dated a couple of women just because I knew they would attack couples at the swinger bars, I am average looking but when You have a hot woman for "trade", that helps a lot. Hahahaha

Granted, my relationship solutions are often very simplistic, drinks, sex, more drinks, more sex, drinks with others, sex with others.

You get the picture.

When we lived in another state and were actively swinging, we had many vanilla friends who we knew where either the husband or wife was cheating. Sometimes both.

My wife and I would just laugh and think, if they just opened up and were honest with each other they might find a common ground and use it to improve their relationship.

Certainly sounds like fucked up logic, but is it any worse than the alternative of lying and cheating.

@bak4mor, when you are at the point of divorcing, could it really hurt to try something new to revitalize your relationship?

Maybe some divorce judges need to order a visit to a swingers club v=before signing off on divorce. LOL

Sam, I think being realistic and transparent in relationships, to include swjnging, would help more people possibly avoid divorce, but that's probably a small percentage.

Most people are petty and jealous. They are not confident enough in themselves or their relationship to handle swinging.

While I do think the LS helps many couples, and in some cases might save a marriage, those entering the LS better have a solid relationship or they are in for a very rough ride. In addition, they create drama and can be a nightmare for the people they hook up with.

Honestly we actually know a couple this happened to. The wife cheated, was wanting the divorce the husband wanted to work it out. They separated for a while and he was still faithful to her. It was crazy we talked him into going to a party where we knew things would get wild but not too crazy but wanted him to meet some more open minded folks. She was there with a date, he didn’t leave but seeing her dance and flirt he was open to evening the score. She is late 30’s him mid 40’s. My wife is younger than me and hooked him up with a smoking hot late 20’s blonde friend of hers who though the salt and pepper look was sooo hot.
Anyways they petted very hot and heavy. We actually forgot them till we heard the fighting start. Ex caught the blonde giving him a blow job and jumped on the her. She literally lost her mind lol. But started calling and texting and he told her he was enjoying being out and about. They eventually got back together and now they are totally invested in the lifestyle. We don’t play with em cause I don’t trust those dynamics but they play regularly and openly now and that all happened 8 years ago lol.
