Former National Security Advisor John Bolton is expected to face a federal indictment after being accused of mishandling and transmitting classified government documents using his private AOL email account.

While he has not been formally charged, multiple sources suggest that a grand jury in Maryland is expected to issue an indictment soon.

Maryland (radical leftist) grand jur? Multiple (unnamed) sources? No charges yet?

Bolton doesn't have the power to declassify documents he wasn't authorized to take. If they were 'Classified' and he took them, then he's done. He's a Two faced piece of shitt.

I think Bolton has an auto-pen signed letter stating the documents were de-classified by Hunter Biden, err, Jill Biden, err, Let's Go Brandon.

Tex. You may think we are eating our own. You guys say, nobody is above the law. We mean it and follow through I understand that while the FBI was investigating another country. They found some classified material on that country’s computers that they apparently hacked from Boltons computer So he didn’t store them properly So. Now he could be in a little hot water But I’m sure that is an early report and more to follow. If true. He didn’t store something illegal and should be prosecuted. And him being a Republican shouldn’t make any difference . I know it may seem a new concept to some

Didn't Trump and Biden do the same thing?

By bak4mor on Thursday, October 16, 2025 - 8:29 pm:

Nice try Clyde. The Trump retribution tour makes its way to another former government official who dared to cross Trump. Each day is just another page out of the authoritarian playbook.

By couplex123 on Friday, October 17, 2025 - 12:37 pm: is exactly correct.
By law the President (and only the President) has "original" declassification power for all classified material.
Anything classified is declassified if the President makes it so.
