Our local Congressman has refused her paycheck until the shutdown ends. SUCKS that the Senate voted to keep themselves on the payroll during a shutdown. 99% of them are wealthy.

U.S. President Donald Trump signed an order on Wednesday directing the Pentagon to ensure active-duty military personnel are paid despite the federal government shutdown, the White House said, addressing one of the most sensitive issues in the bitter standoff over federal spending.
Trump directed Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth "to use for the purpose of pay and allowances any funds appropriated by the Congress that remain available for expenditure in Fiscal Year 2026 to accomplish the scheduled disbursement of military pay and allowances for active duty military personnel," according to text of the executive order shared by the White House on social media.

They were paid on the 15th but it was a temporary fix, the 30th is still up for grabs.

The politicians that got us into this mess should be the first not to be paid!

They're paying the military for the optics. Plain and simple. Screw everyone else because nobody cares about the hundreds of thousands of others that don't make headlines. Singling out one group actually just makes things worse, but they don't fucking care.

Bak4mor the only federal employees that truly deserve to get paid are the Military personnel, if you think that is wrong you are welcome to go fuck yourself.

I think congress should not get paid if the military doesn't. But like their raises. They would be the ones deciding on their pay. So they will not vote to not get paid if shutdown. Just like they decide if they need a raise because they can't make it on the millions they already have.

Pay the military and a few others. But 8 out of 10 just need to be layed off. Trim the fat. Target democrats and just tell them,,sorry but you voted for this. Your party doesn't want to fund you so your fired,and useless anyway. Trump needs to use this month to full advantage of saving the taxpayers money and clear out more swamp.

Hope all is well..I have been very busy helping others with no cost to them for years. This month has been very busy and expensive for me, they call me the mayor unofficially of course .I have even given the hateful dangerous Karen water for 5 years as they don't have a well. I help people of all colors and even liberals and democrats. People are people after all. And I see it as the Christian thing to do. But seriously many tell me not to help lots of them but I do anyway costing me time and several hundred a month. I don't like military on the streets, however it is necessary after the democrats let in so much cartel drugs and illegals taking our jobs and services they didn't pay into. I don't blame them, I understand they don't want to be near the cartel either.

When you have the cartel dealing drugs on one side and crazy fire bug and thief on the other and another hearing voices and shooting at your kids and yourself between. When you have to learn Spanish and underbid illegals to work something is not like it used to be OK. When the cops are useless and criminals and crazy is out of control,,hence my firetrucks and team and the strategic compound of defense and security team.

I had 100 percent free medical most of my life. I would pre-qualify my pick of doctors. I got bills of 100,000 a week for ten years. My co pay was gasoline and happy meals in front of children's hospital on sunset Blvd in hollyvierd. My son and I lived in the local hospital and in Los Angeles children's hospital ten of his first 12 years and I never left him one night alone without me being there. My union insurance payed 100 percent. Los Angeles is 250 miles away at the time. Now is 200 .I was always told I had a great job as I got the insurance and more money per hour. I made more Before college than after. But those days are over. I finally went back to the union to get my retirement a few months ago. I was told by my financial planner that I had Rolls-Royce retirement coming. However the democrat union screwed us I found out. The union said it will pay the cash for retirement and that will be OK. However when I asked about the insurance they said it is gone and that on the new contract it was give and take meaning if they give, they have to take to do it and everything is negotiable. Sooooo..when the new generation wanted more to keep up with Newsoms inflation and taxes they sold the old generation down the river to do it. Now instead of insurance locked in, if you don't collect retirement in 2 years then you lose the insurance and only get the cash as the new generation got the raise. So my own fellow new workers and the democrat union screwed me. The state gives illegals everything for free and I could to if I reduce my income to under 1,700 a month. However I can't live on that. The only 2 things that save me is no mortgage and prop. 13 keeping property taxes lower. Thank God I paid cash for the compound, ranch. So for now I signed up for what is called coverd California, for 300 a month it pays 70 percent, when I asked how much for the other 30, they said 900 more plus the 3..I could retire and get Medicare or cade, I don't know. I need to look into it I suppose. Or I could get disability and everything is free. But I love to work and am used to making good money for toys and groceries. I want a 79 trans am without selling anything. Not giving up the vette or camero or other of my fleet. Lol I suppose I might have to give up one of my trucks, I do have several. But seriously looking like I will pay 1,000 a month too. I am mid 60s and like Guinness and cigarettes however even though I do have plants just harvested, I don't really smoke weed anymore. Maybe I should take my health more seriously. I suppose I am not invincible anymore. Lol this was before Trump. Only good union, or disability or poor, or illegal gets insurance in California. The rest hardworking, work till death get 1000 per month bill I suppose. Hope we don't need it even if paying and God blesses us with good health my friend. Oh and that is just my insurance problem, hers is separate. I won't tell you how much Los Angeles was last month.

I would hope seeing as medical is insane expensive that we stop sending money overseas for stupid reasons and make Americans pay 100 dollars co pay for 100,000 bill. However we give it all away to everyone else around the world and can't do anything for ourselves I suppose, maybe I should go work for the union for a year, and fuck them back out of it.

I really have no problem with democrats wanting affordable health care for Americans who pay into it. What is it? 200 billion. No problem, however they want to give it to illegals for free as well for votes. There is also a one point three trillion added on for media overseas and lbgq chit like doge never happened so they can embezzle and get kickback is the real problem and we can't afford it or want them to send a trillion overseas. Great to pay stuff off. I pay cash for everything and try not to use my credit card. But the kids have told me I have to put something on it for better credit or something like that so I usually put 1 to 2 hundred on it a month and just pay it off each month just for activity.

Yes I love cars and trucks however I shouldn't admit to how many I really have in the fleet. I have one that is over 100 years old. I like 50s to 2000 after that they are junk and not to good. My newest is a 2016 and it's the worst one. I get burned out on them and build stuff again in my park. Get burned out on it and back to cars. Just put in another hot tub and been framing it in. I spend a fortune on wood.lol. I have every kind of saw I can think of. I have been fast framing with a impact driver and a mini chain saw. Not much finishing so it doesn't matter. I think that closing the border with the boxes and backing border patrol is very heartful. How many ranchers on the line quit finding bodies on their land? How many people were found floating dead in the Rio grande last month? How many children lost? How many less died from cartel drugs? How many women were not raped now that the border is closed and how many American jobs are saved. It isn't about racism or ruthless. Its about protecting America and its people. Its not personal, its just business.

DEMs say they need to negotiate cuz the insurance runs out..but wasted 20 days (and counting) by not opening the govt to negotiate...
