Sunday Dinner Thread

Afternoon everyone! I hope you all are having a great day. It is a beautiful day today. Sixty five degrees out. I Have somethings to do this afternoon. Told my neighbor I would help her get a dead hornets nest out of a tree. So I am going to set The thread to autopilot while I see if I can get the nest put of the tree. I will be back. Post away and I will be back. Oh, dinner here will be a turkey sandwich.... Post away.

How is Bozo doing?

Hey Missy,

Cloudy and rainy here today. Temps started the day off in the 60's and are now down to the high 40's.

Good luck with the hornets nest.

Dinner tonight is going to be pot roast and mashed potatoes.

Evening missy. Dragging today, we spent 2 weeks on the beach and came back last evening. A little over a 12 hour drive, long haul for this old man, LOL. Make sure those hornets are dead or have abandoned the nest. I knew a guy that cut a 'dead' nest down, took it home and when he took it inside where it was warm it wasn't long before he had a house full of hornets that weren't too happy being inside.
Neither one of us feels like cooking much this evening so we're going to make tacos, queso and corn chips to dip in the queso.
Hope Bozo is back to his chipper self and have a great week.

hey missy be careful! dinner tonight is cabbage rolls that we froze a while ago after vacuum sealing them !

Hi Dialedin...Bozo is doing good. He is healed. The fluid under his skin absorbed. I know it still pains him some. I am careful picking him up asI don't want to hurt him. At night, my neighbor and I take him for his late walk. It is about 2.5 miles long. I take him out in the carriage and when we hit the turn around, I take him out of the carriage and walk him back. I don't know if he will ever do the whole walk again, but he does really well now. Right now he is sleeping next to me on the couch. When he gets cold, I cover him with his blanket. Sometimes you can't get a sheet of paper between us. He is my sweetie.

Hi Mrndmrshobbit...So sorry it is rainy and cool out your way. I do luv that the good weather is hanging on. I hope the nice weather is predicting a warmer winter. We got the nest and I didn't end up in the water. LOL! I also helped her get her flower box down from her window. I managed to do it with only getting the birdhouse attached to it in the head. LOL! Mmmmm! Pot roast is always delicious. Especially with mashed potatoes and gravy. Next up, pot roast sandwiches. Good stuff. Hve a good week!

Great news about Bozo. Dinner was Home made chilli . We ate 2 of the kids ate other 3 guess had junk food.

Hi Mrscountrygirl.... 12 hour drive??? That is exhausting! Two weeks of beach sounds great though. Nice time of the year for it. I got the nest down. It was empty and part of it was gone. My neighbor is going to lay it in the sun for a while and then put it on her wall for decoration. She does interesting decoration with natural things. Tacos is a great idea. They are easy, delicious, wonderfully messy and fun. I haven't had any for a while. I should have some one of these days. Bozo is doing good. He is a little slower, but that doesn't matter. My neighbor enjoys doggy sitting when I have to go out for a long time. She spoils him to death. He knows where all the treats are at. It was a long summer with his recovery, but I am sooo glad he has healed so well.

Hi Pj! I had visions of falling in and coming up looking like a drowned rat! LOL! All went well and I barely got my boots wet. LOL! Good dinner. Those vacuum seal machines do a really good job. I need to get one of those for me. They are a good thing. Have a good week!

Grilled Ham and Sharp Cheddar on Sourdough. Handful of Fritos and a glass of cold milk.

Just got home from a Mike day.

Dinner was at one of my favorite spots out of town. I had a chicken wrap with onion rings.

I also gassed up out of town for 2.62.
