Pink salt diet
Seen a post n here about it
Been on it for a little over 3 months now and it seems to Be working for us. Wife has lost almost 20 pounds and I am sitting on 32 pounds gone..
It’s pretty simple and easy.. take it every morning with breakfast or before..
1/4 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1 teaspoon of honey
4 oz of water ( hot to melt salt and honey)
Mix well let it cool down to drink.
That’s it! Simple and effective!!
I also seem to have more energy but that might be imaginary on my part.
what else are you doing? increased exercising/walking? Changes to diet-- less carbs? more veggies, lean meats? ect.....
IMHO: just drinking that concoction would not cause weight loss except for possible some water weight due to the salt.
There is no secret/miracle for weight loss. Even with the push about using all the drugs(GLP-1 shots) they all add need to exercise and watch what one eats. All those meds do is help suppress the appetite (I know, I take ozempic for type 2 and it "kills" my appetite)

Love the Himalayan Pink Salt but I use it for cooking and seasoning not for dieting.

I do something similar. Apple cider vinegar, baja gold sea salt and water. A good morning re-hydration and gets the electrolytes and trace minerals.
Very sensible answer shortkakes. Eat sensibly and exercise

fatbuthappy... maybe it needs to be said that should be "instead of", not "in addition to" other food.

Himalayan pink salt, like good quality sea salt, contains an abundance of trace minerals, even moreso than sea salt. Regular table salt has been processed to death (most trace minerals removed)and is very unhealthy to consume, even if it has been iodized.
I am aware of the pink salt being used to lose weight, but don't see how that is possible, with one exception. Perhaps the trace minerals, which most people are sorely lacking in, help the body function much more smoothly and and that keeps the body from bogging down and turning backed up food into fat.
Has anyone else tried this or a similar diet? Results?
I think most of us could drop a wee bit of weight, and if it's THIS easy, wow!

As previous posters have indicated exercise and caloric restriction are required for weight loss. That said there could be a valid scientific argument for why this and other "concoctions" could facilitate weight loss, by altering the microbiome (the microbial communities in the gut). The microbiome plays a role in all aspects of our health.

The human microbiome comprises bacteria, archaea, viruses, and eukaryotes which reside within and outside our bodies. These organisms impact human physiology, both in health and in disease, contributing to the enhancement or impairment of metabolic and immune functions.

The pink salt is much better for you. I think after years and years of being told less salt, the opinion is now that it wasn’t salt but the kind of salt. Another one of the processed food anomalies.

all diets work, if you do the one thing they all have in common.
EAT LESS!
This is the one thing univesally ignored.
pink salt is indeed better for you, but if excess iron effects you, test it first.
any chemical, even salt has side effects.
every thing in moderation, except sex. thats my motto
Nazpete1 Man you are correct

Yep,,,eat less and only healthy foods. Put in the steps and laps. Once you eat healthy for a couple months, then you eat something not so much. You will spit it out because of the taste of chemicals, persevering chemicals or extra oils. And if you do eat it. It will make you sick. Be prepared to take several months and change the menu. Do not take shots or other useless bs.
For a winning strategy, turn your negative stubborn into a positive one. Be determined and stubborn putting in the steps and increasing how many steps as you go along. See a nutrition guide to figure out how many calories a day and how many steps.
