Shutdown

This is really getting old! Back when I was still working for the government we never got hit for more than a few days, so we still got paid on time. This isn't funny, two people in my family are affected. The one that upsets me the most is one of my kids, I was told today, I've worked hard and tried to do all the right things, lived below my means if anything and now I made to feel as if I have fucked up. It's terrible. When I was still working for the government, I worked soooo many hours that I never got paid for, we are not lazy loafers trying to get something for nothing and do not deserve to be treated as such.

Thank the evil Demonrats who care more about illegals than American citizens and want to give AMERICAN taxpayer dollars (not their own) to ILLEGALS.

Let’s solve the illegal immigration problem ! Stop all manner of funding to illegals, housing, food, healthcare, education and let them all go home to their own countries ! Then let vetted people from those countries come here legally, still with no taxpayer money and build a life here , like all of the other immigrants that helped build this great nation 100 years ago !

What happened to Mike Johnson & the House. Why haven't they been in Washington. The Scumbags all get paid while inflicting pain & suffering to the American people. During the covid we all worked from home and nobody refused a call outside of their work hours and we all did more than our share without getting paid for quite a bit of it.

Fed workers get their pay even if they were furloughed. They just need to wait till the govt opens back. Large part of their lives they have job security if even they work or just do work very inefficiently. They do get fat paychecks.

A lot of the disagreements of undocumented getting public assistance benefits and also who is eligible, the information needed for each program and income/asset limits for them could be settled if a person took the time to look up the assistance Combined Manual(s) for TANF(cash assistance) SNAP and medicaid. The Manuals are available on line.

I've read through them many of times over my career.

As for undocumented and healthcare-- yes there is a program called emergency medical they may be eligible for. It only covers a specific injury/illness and there is still income/assets needed for the EMA program. You can thank Ronald Reagan for signing the program into law.

As for Federal workers getting back pay once a Fed government shutdown is over you can thank Trump --he signed the Government Fair Treatment Act in 2019

It's realy upsetting that the nude beaches are closed. We were going to Apollo or Playalinda every weekend. As a former Federal employee went through these several times in my career. Always got back pay. It was like an unexpected vacation time. Absolutely stupid. Has to be a way for this not to happen again!
