How easy is it to travel when you are a terrorist?

Just read that a Louisiana resident Al-Muhtadi has been been indicted and locked up for his part in the 2023 October 7 massacre. Entered USA using a fake visa, via Dallas Airport, lives for a while in Tulsa then moved to Louisiana. (Source NY Times).
So well done for catching another bad guy but just how are these people allowed to move around the world so easily?
I used to travel the world for work and getting around was never quite such a breeze - and I works in security.

They come across the channel every day in boats with no id what so ever, but you try flying out of France without your passport.

Al-Muhtadi was on this list, In September 2024, the House Committee on Homeland Security cited a House Judiciary Committee report stating that at least 99 individuals on the watchlist were released into the U.S. by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) between fiscal years 2021 and 2023.

No doubt that 911 happened under a republican president but the most egregious disregard for our border laws and policies happened under Biden.

When I was volunteering at the border under Biden, the young men would pull a laminated card from their pocket with what to say in order to be released on parole, no questions were asked, no finger prints, nada.

All 19 of the 9/11 hijackers were in the United States legally on nonimmigrant visas, mostly tourist or student visas

We tightened all that up for a while but Biden relaxed enforcement and now that Trump is trying to crackdown again, Dems are rioting over it, attacking ICE, its near total anarchy, dogs living with cats.

Muslims are also buying convenience stores and gas stations in Canada. Also Tim Hortons, KFC's, McDonalds and a host of other fast food restaurants.
