Senate Democrats voted against advancing a stopgap funding measure for a 13th time, extending a government shutdown amid growing concerns about pay for federal employees and benefits for low-income Americans.

The country had 4 years of Dem border/immigration policies and economic policies.

We had an election, the majority of voters in the majority of states voted against the Dems having control over deciding policy and spending.

The majority of voters do not want a permanent extension of these COVID era subsidies.

I contacted our senators, I support the 1 year extension the republicans are offering but I do not support making these COVID era subsidies permanent.

If republicans vote to make them permanent, I will not vote for them in the next election.

Subsidies are paid for with taxpayer dollars, subsidizing someone does not solve the cause of the high rates, it simply taxes the taxpayers more to make insurance companies richer.

Tweak the ACA to allow a more customizable approach, our old self's certainly do not need birth control covered on our plan. LOL

The House of Representatives is;
219-Republicans
213-Democrats
3-vacancies
The Senate has;
53- Republicans
45-Democrats
2-Independents

Then how is it possible to blame anything on the Democrats when they clearly have the controlling majority of the votes?
They should be able to pass anything and everything they want since they have the controlling population of both the House and Senate.

The vast majority pf Dems are voting against funding the government, therefore, the Dems are responsible.

You cannot vote against funding the government and then say it is not your fault.

Every Republican senator is voting to pass the continuing resolution.
