"ST. LUCIE COUNTY – As part of efforts to address complaints about nude sunbathing at a public beach where the activity is not allowed, sheriff’s officials arrested six people and issued three others notices to appear in court, according to records and a sheriff's spokesperson.
The Oct. 25 enforcement action at Little Mud Creek on Hutchinson Island south of Fort Pierce came after “a reoccurring complaint of nude sunbathers at the public beach,” an arrest affidavit states.
Little Mud Creek, which has a parking area and boat ramp, is about a mile north of Blind Creek Beach, which in June 2020 was designated by county commissioners as a clothing-optional beach.
The parking lot at Blind Creek Beach in January was closed for renovations, including parking lot improvements and restroom facilities, said Erick Gill, county spokesperson. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year."
