How many are directly impacted by govt shutdown?

From what I've heard 40 plus million snap (food). Couldn't even guess how many gov't employees and others. Of course the ripple effect will be felt on the economy overall.

Well I am affected. Both my daughter and bf are among those deemed "essential" but not essential enough to get paid! I am now supporting two households on my pension and I am pretty pissed off about it. •••• will hit the fan when the people don't get their food stamps. Aren't those mostly democrats? Just saying.

Remember all of this when you step into the voting booth!

The radical left doesn't care that service members and federal employees are not getting paid. They are screaming now because the SNAP & WIC people won't get their food. 80% of people on these programs are democrat voters.

The dems are happy to shut down government in order to restore expiring Covid subsidies to a failing system called Obamacare. They also want to pay for illegal alien healthcare.

In 2024, annual federal spending on ACA subsidies is around $125 billion. Sadly, they can't get rid of Obamacare now because the people on it have no other options. Obama destroyed those options, and now they're trying to destoy employer based healthcare coverage to get more people on Obamacare.

The republicans want to try to make it better, but the dems won't let that happen because they don't want Trump to get the credit for fixing it. THEY SUCK!!

The Lefties with the help of the bias media are scaring the people, and hoping for a full blown violent revolution just like the French do so often, when the masses don't get paid vacations....

The ACA did not fail. Just ask the people with pre-existing conditions in rural, mostly conservative states who couldn't get private health insurance

As long as it is mostly democrats suffering, I am OK with it. Let them learn what they voted for and maybe they will never vote democrat again. Then it would be worth it. Similac went from ten to 40 and up a can. Wic will be cut to young families paying to high of rent, diapers and other necessary items for babies. Democrats need to open things back up. During covid they sent Similac to the border making shortages and high price for Americans and now holding out wic for slush funds...I hope Trump steps in and uses tariff money for wic..I don't use it and neither do my kids so doesn't matter to me. But to many young people it does. If you can,,donate a can to help some young family and baby...Democrats are failures to their American voters. Don't ever vote for them.

Tex,,,California over regulations and taxes to everyone sucks and is hard. To the small business, it can be devastating as to young people just starting out. For the rich. Well they have problems as well. They are tired of over regulations and taxes too. They are leaving for Texas one after another and taking thousands and thousands of jobs with them. I am not directly affected financially, I got my VA disability check a few days ago, I got my retirement check today and I don’t get SS because I didn’t pay into it. Price of groceries does have a mild effect on me but I don’t eat much anymore. My beer has been on sale on base for $17.94 a case for several months now and no tax

It's not Trump shutdown, the democrats have already admitted it is them using it for,,,leverage.

However I really don't see holding hostage as legal forms of leverage.

In Virginia the governor creaa state supported plan that takes effect on the day federal stops and loads the snap cards in the state. Thank you Governor Youngkin. No los no pain. Only difference state works 1 week at a time.
