My girlfriend and some friends are decorating the main barn today for a Halloween party tonight.

Music, food, drinks, and friends will be there. Along with the ranch hands, a few others will join, and it should be fun.

It’s good that my barn is set up with HVAC and a potbelly stove. Some folks get chilled to the bone this time of year.

When our kids were little we would go on a Hay Ride throughout the Neighborhoods with other family's. We all had a blast and the kids got a lot of candy with out walking

42F now at Mesonet site, and still dropping. Supposed to be mid 60F here today and great for Trick or Treaters. We will have a few, but tomorrow ALL 18 or so of our neighborhood kids will Trick or Treat everyone. It's an awesome event that we look forward to each year.

Cutting back all the yard plants is on the agenda today. Got much of the back done yesterday.
Have 3 rose bushes out front that are in need of heavy pruning so will get them done today.
Friends coming out tonight for Ribs and sides. Will enjoy the company, the meal and a nice evening.

MrsDRed doing much better. Still a bit sore in one spot, but even that is beginning to fade out. Very glad, but I think she is 'milking' things a bit. I don't mind, she took pretty good care of me when I F'kd up my shoulder last year.

42 and headed to 56 later and dry us out a little. Not much planned here. We don't get kids trick or treating around here, the houses are too far off the roads and too far apart I guess.

Morning gang, thanks for the coffee x_rey. And thank you for the eye candy ladies. Val you have me wanting to head up into the woods tonight! It's 48 headed to 62 and sunny today.
Late getting on, had some things to do outside and after lunch I'm going to fire up the charcoal grill and grill at least 3 if not 4 grills full of meat, we'll vacuum pack them into meal size portions for us and they'll be quick, tasty dinners easy to prepare.
Happy Halloween. Living out here, we haven't had a Trick or Treater in over 30 years, a couple of a neighbors kids. Most in the area are older and their kids have grown up, and the ones that do have kids take them to school or church run 'Trunk or Treat' events on their parking lots where the kids go vehicle to vehicle and load up on their diabetes starting fun.
Yes reminded me of Halloweens years ago. We had hayrides with the kids, but we continued them after the kids moved out, us 'adults' would climb on a wagon loaded with hay bales behind a tractor and go through the woods on logging roads. Of course alcohol was the main event and we'd have a huge bonfire afterwards. The hayride would officially end early at times when one of the other adults that didn't drink very often would get blitzed and fall off the wagon, literally. They may have fell of the wagon, but it didn't stop them from drinking. Amazingly no one ever got hurt falling, but they sure moved slow for a day or two, LOL.
