Anyone else fascinated with this phenomenon? I’ve been closely following since the second week in July and it gets more

Perihelion was yesterday and it should reappear to earthlings in about two weeks unless it goes into warp speed and arrives early.
This thing is fascinating and scary all at once.

There is so much trolling trash out there right now, it is virtually impossible to know what is really going on. Earlier in the week when it was still obscured by the sun, the headline was that it had changed course and speed to head to earth. The thing was not even in visible range. Too many people with too much time on their hands.

Yes sir there is a lot of that. But you can filter your searches and find some of the best and truest information from astrophysicists such as avi loeb etc.
He said all along it wasn’t “normal” and man he was right. Time will tell exactly how right he will ultimately turn out to be.

fingerfood....How are you following it? It's about 170 million miles from Earth as I understand..and need a telescope to view it...

There are telescopes out there documenting this event although nasa claims to be shut down by the government it still is collecting data if you can find it.
It’s 266 million miles away btw and the
Closest it is scheduled to pass to earth I’d 153 million miles. Almost two astronomical units from us.
In about two weeks it will headed our way and we will get some awesome photos if it survives the sun blast.
Hopefully it shall turn out to be benign although there is a lot of evidence otherwise.

Btw European and Japanese telescopes are filling in where nasa falls thru the cracks.

There are those who suspect alien technology at play because of the way this object acts...We all know Earth never orbits through the same space twice...always moving forward..maybe we are entering the outskirts of an area that is more populated..
