A picture from our front doorway in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The Toronto Blue Jay flag flying at half-mast.........

One of those blast from the past photos. I had The World Series Trophy, (The Commissioner's Trophy), on my desk a day after they won The World Series. I believe that was in 1992. I used to look after the diagnostic needs of The Toronto Blue Jays players, management, and, staff at a large downtown Toronto Hospital.

Cool picture Downtown.

I used to be a huge baseball fan. I still watch many of the Reds games. But it's just not as fun as it used to be. We can't compete with the likes of the Dodgers. They can buy any player they want.

How much fun can it be for Dodger's fans for their team to win the world Series when they know their team is bought and paid for? They can sign today's best player, Shohei Ohtani.

The Reds? They traded for ke'bryan hayes in July to help them in their push to make the playoffs. The third baseman, a power hitter's position, played in all the Reds remaining games and hit .235, with 3 home runs and 13 rbi's. (Ohtani had 10 rbi's in one game) They had to pay him about $2 million for the rest of this season. A bargain basement salary. Meanwhile, the Dodgers are paying Ohtani $70,000,000 per season for 10 years. that's $700,000,000. $700 million!

So it came as no surprise that Reds fans had to sit home and watch the Dodgers play in the World Series. Again.

I was born in and currently live in Texas but I am a lifelong Dodgers fan.

We watched game 7 at a restaurant bar with some fellow baseball fans, many of whom are also dodgers fans.

Every Dodgers fan in the place shared the feeling that Toronto played a heck of a series and if Toronto were to win, it would be because they earned it.

Great series!

The Blue Jays outplayed the Dodgers in just about every category. Batting, pitching (except 1 pitcher, Yamamoto) defence, total runs.

The Dodgers were opportunists in the final game, the Jays unlucky. But the Jays proved their heart and that they could more than compete with them.

No need to fly the flag half mast, Chris. Fly it high and proudly!

The Dodgers can eat a bag. And should.

One of the best series in quite a long time ! The Jays had it but Dodgers tenacity came thru for them . Congrats to both teams .

As a life long Reds fan I motherfucking hate the dodgers, as division rivals until realignment meant we were always battling. I can not be glad for the Dodgers. This win is proof that money rules the MLB and the commissioners office has no idea that their business paradigm is ruining the sport. Small market teams can play well, but in the end they can not compete with teams that can spend 3 times the money. Imagine Football with no salary cap, the NBA how would those sports look, Oh just like the MLB large market teams will all the time. I love my Cincinnati Reds, MLB sucks a fat nasty dick.
