Did anyone see this disaster? Only out of corner of eye...sat down to refill my coffee and what is it...dude wipes, 2 cars with pile of chit on them. What kind of a joke has this parade become? Then a float with a brit flag, then Taiwan I think ,then a group all purple hair.? What a disaster. I better get back to work. Cars with chit on them really? Wow.

While getting the Thanksgiving meal ready, it had always been a tradition for us to watch the Macy's parade. Fifteen minutes into it, I had to switch the channel. We watched the Houston parade and could only last ten minutes. Changed the channel again to watch a repeat of Life Below Zero. One tradition has ended.

One cow,,,,interesting, that would go 2 ways. Oh and its real. First, not happening. Not allowed enough carbon credits for that. To much problem getting sued by vegan and beyond meat companies.

Modungheep will not be able to cancel the Tree in Rock Center. Rock Center is private property where the corporate owners keep the street OPEN for the public. Except for ONE DAY PER YEAR when they close it. This act of closing for the one day restablishes their private ownership annually.
Modungheep CAN put a lot of restrictions on access around the area though, crowd control and what-not. even the tradition of department stores decorating their windows. Also, street peddlers can be chased from the area.He can do a lot of annoying things to mess with the NVC Christmas street traditions.

My biggest issue for the Thanksgiving Parade was so much rap / hip-hop entertainment. And too much entertainment was Spanish-language based. I have mixed feelings about THAT. Yes, a lot of Hispancs in NYC & around the country. But, this IS AMERICA. Thanksgiving IS a holiday based on our English forefathers giving thanks to God for their survival early on while settling in, colonizing the continent.
Spanish didn't really belong in this, any more than Spanish would belong in the St Patrick's Day Parade, BUT - it's all entertainment. Until it isn't. ( Then it's presence - is a political statement ..... )
