An analysis of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), commonly known as Obamacare, has unveiled massive fraud that could be costing American taxpayers billions of dollars, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) said in a report released on Dec. 3.
Under the program, the federal government pays credits to health insurance companies, called advance premium tax credit (APTC), on behalf of eligible Obamacare participants to reduce their monthly premium payments. In plan year 2024, almost $124 billion in such credits is estimated to have been paid out to insurance companies, accounting for around 19.5 million enrollees.

$529.92 a month for 12 months per enrollee.

Wonder how much the enrollees kicked in…..

STOP bit@hing about OBAMACARE, since it' so terrible.
It's been over 8 years since your chosen one has promised to get rid of obamacare and install a better Plan!
The DJTDon'tCARE plan is long over due. It still must be in a concept phase, huh?

I have a feeling the ACA is going to be rebranded under the name Trump Care but at the old 2024-2025 premium rates. The ACA will become the ATCA.

Texasgent, it's a case of Hussein derangement syndrome by reps. Don't have any alternate plan but complain a lot about Obamacare. People don't care a thing what reps say using the word Obamacare. They should give it a new name HusseinCare. Dems anyways bringing the sharia in certain parts of the country they would love that named as Husseincare.

Tex. I wasn’t b1tch1ng about the ACA… just stating the monthly supplement amount per plan member.

Let’s talk about this proposed tariff rebate Trump spoke about…

I personally think they should take the rebate off the table and put some toward more important long-term projects:

1. $124B to ACA supplement

2. Medicare funding reserves

3. Pay down the national debt

Now Coup. You need to realize there is one party that doesn’t think that this is waste. Rather that it’s essential and not only that, they want to continue that practice I only suggest that it was intentionally put in the finest healthcare bill ever But I don’t think one Republican voting forr it. As I remember. Barry was potus when it was approved. In fact, I’m sure he was.

By clyde601958 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 6:51 am:

Another thing. The GAO scored this law You don’t suggest that there are any partisan peeps in the GAO do you ?

By clyde601958 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 6:57 am:

I don’t know how this would score. But I hope they consider a tax write off of all medical expenses weather you itemize or not. That helps those that incur those that are effected But it’s possible tha t some will think that will only help the rich

By mistaflyer52 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 8:12 am:

Everyone knew this program was going to be a s h i t show!! That POS president knew it, lied to the American suckers by saying "if you like your plan you can keep your plan" "your premiums will be lowered by $2500.00" It was a big lie, the dems passed it without one republican vote, and they shoved it up the taxpayers' asses by that stupid ruling by the compromised John Roberts!! Obama and the FBI and the CIA have something on John Roberts and that's why he voted like he did.

Trump had a chance to get rid of it and that cocksucker Mccain fucked us all by voting with the dems!! (he thought he was screwing Trump, but really screwed all of us!) Any one remember the $12 Billion dollar website that never worked?? My 15 year old nephew could have built a better website for a new xbox!!

And now we're stuck with it!

By dh747 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 8:19 am:

It has become obvious that if democrats are involved there is corruption.

By jands69 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 8:22 am:

Just replace the ACA Trump has the book, he has the master plan what it is? Paul Ryans voucher system
No more excuses he controls all 3 branches replace it,instead of bitching about it.

It will never happen cause there is no plan and midterms coming where the republicans are going to get slaughtered

By dh747 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 8:30 am:

Why is it that Obama pushed the bill because he thought it was going to put him on Mount Rushmore and it was doomed to fail but now that it has all democrats do is blame republicans because they haven't fixed the fucking mess they made.

By ironsausage on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 8:55 am:

Tex do you even know how the government works? Do you think that Chuck Schumer is going to allow 60 votes in the Senate to scrap the ACA?

By openme on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 9:54 am:

I don't see anyone b1tch1ng about then saying the employer doesn't have to have Ins for part time workers!! How many millions of people lost there full time job to become part time so the co. DIDN'T HAVE TO HAVE INS ON THEM!!! I WAS ONE OF THEM!!!

By hotwifecpl1965 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 10:08 am:

I agree with those that say that Trump has offered no better alternative to Obama Care or any help with making healthcare more affordable !
BUT, once you give free or discounted stuff to the entitled people in this country, it is hard to take it away !
There is no personal responsibility or ethics anymore !

By cameraguy1940 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 10:43 am:

Yes there was fraud, yes it is expensive, and yes it may indeed need to be changed, so where is the better plan that orange man keeps promising and talking about. The current plan has saved many lives. What is the price of a life? The current plan is all we have and until loud mouth actually offers a plan, he should just shut the .... up until he actually has a plan.

By clyde601958 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 10:52 am:

Open. 9:54 Let’s add why Obama had some selected companies that didn’t have to comply Full time or part time. I wonder why??? Folks, let’s face it. The biggest part is. Out technology has out grown our pocketbook And we are living longer and costing more I’m not for pulling the plug on people at all. This is t an easy fix and I’ll bet it never goes away This may seem bad but just think of someone had lifesaving healthcare. We all know some that had heart surgery around 70 years. Yes some had successful surgery but some didn’t really get close to what they were 20 years earlier they may have died and they don’t cost anymore Today they live and still cost us. When I hear that “ everyone needs health insurance I cringe No, everyone needs health care Affordable , true affordable healthcare.

By couplex123 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 11:30 am:

Some people miss the point. President Trump’s people uncovered billions of dollars in fraud.

By texasgent73 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 11:32 am:

8:55AM, with the way the current Administration has passed things, what makes YOU think THEY care about a 60 Vote threshold? They will find a way to break rules/laws of our Constitution.

JOHN, thank you for agreeing about getting rid of Obamacare, IF and when THEY come up with a better plan. After all, what is stopping them, they have control of all 3 equal branches.

By jonahb5 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 2:56 pm:

IMHO the better plan is NO plan. There is no entitlement to health care in the Constitution, so leave it to business to provide.

When I was growing up in the 50's, my father had health insurance for catastrophic injury or illness, like when my mother developed NHL. Otherwise, he paid for medical services. I remember him talking about how much my little brother cost. But the point is that he paid and it was affordable, because the government was not involved.

Nowadays, with insurance companies and the medical-pharma industry owning Congress, medical care is outrageously expensive, compared to other G-20 nations. I place the blame on government. Any time the government gets into a field of business, it fucks up beyond belief. Why is college so expensive? Because Obama took over student loans and made them available to anyone.

Just wait until Mandami has New York bureaucrats start running the grocery stores. A clusterfuck to top all clusterfucks.

By dcolusguy98 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 5:10 pm:

Yeah Rex that’s what republicans do is sit around and figure out how to circumvent and break the law. You really do post some stupid . You might want to dig into history a bit before you post.

By texasgent73 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 8:51 pm:

CULO, what you said about YOUR GOP, you said perfectly.
I used to RESEARCH to correct your bias ignorance to correct people like you. However, pasting facts is some what frown upon. So yes, I generally dig into history/research before posting.

By horndawg69 on Saturday, December 6, 2025 - 3:19 am:

Why do people say tha it's up to the employer to provide health insurance (it was a "benefit" that was used to recruit and retain employees)? Why do I get to come up with a shitty plan (then it's your fault if you can't fix it? Why is it that we say, we reduced uninsured by XX millions, if all we're doing is paying for insurance using the taypayer credit card (I can also say, we can eliminate homelessness if the taypayer just buy them homes)? Why is it that we talk about the insane healthcare expenditures but don't talk about how this country's obesity issues is driving a lot of these costs?
