My Medicare payment rose to over $200 a month while my insurance deductible also raised and the insurance covers less. All this on a fixed income which is pretty low. May someday come to the point where I have to use the VA to cover medical. Sucks!

By tonyb on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 3:32 pm:

thank you ObamaCare for raising medical costs for everyone

By ecguy12 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 3:41 pm:

Dems will not do anything as long as its name starts with Obama

By rogr on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 3:46 pm:

Obama care reduced monthly payment by about 30% plus no existing conditions denial.

By clyde601958 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 3:59 pm:

Well Casper. That will be an issue next year elections. It’s not an easy solution I suggested to my congressman and senators to look into a tax deduction on expenses if you itemize or not

By doctortits2 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 4:03 pm:

Demos worry more about the two drug runners that were killed on that boat....they are ready to try and convict our own for war crimes....

By bak4mor on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 4:19 pm:

I'm sure Trump and Republicans will fix it all day now. They've only had a decade.

By bob696963 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 4:22 pm:

bak4...what the fuck did biden do?

By womenrock on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 4:37 pm:

Bob you are correct!!! All these communist liberals like bak do is throw stones at Trump when they had four years with that demented POS!! they did nothing except try to stop DJT from winning!! How did that work out dems?

Obama needs to be executed for what he done to this country along with his administration

By ecguy12 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 4:37 pm:

Made sure tax payers payed for the high cost that kept going up

By ecguy12 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 4:51 pm:

Instead trying to find a solution they want to keep money going to obamacare

By caspertg on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 5:22 pm:

That $2000 stimulus check sure would help, hope it goes through.

By over64 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 5:26 pm:

I usually don;t comment on ignorant political rants but here is a simple question...

Where is a different Health Care plan from anyone? This is not a Dem or Rep problem

Stop casting blame and just come up with a plan to
fuckin fix it!!

Now I am going to go back and jerk off to sexy naked women. ......

By mistified on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 6:19 pm:

I used to have great insurance, 20 years with the union. Democrat ran union. For the new generation to get a cost of living raise, they canceled us old timers insurance at retirement. Now I have some not as good insurance that is 70 percent instead of 100 percent with co,pays and we will see at 65 of age Medicare or medicade whatever does next year. Fuck democrats, they stole my great insurance. But they have no problem giving it to illegals at 100 percent. Democrats are thieves, stealing from Americans who earned it and giving to illegals that didn't. Fuck democrats, they are idiots and criminals.

By ecguy12 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 6:46 pm:

Trump tried in first term to get rid of Obama care Dems fault it

By rlooski on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 6:47 pm:

Poor tony b. But but but Obama. Really?

By bak4mor on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 6:52 pm:

My apologies to Bob and Woman for saying anything bad about your Jesus. I'm just reminding everyone that Trump said 10 years ago we were going to have the greatest Healthcare under his administration.

Well, he's now had 2 chances at it, and he's on the clock again, but feel free to keep focusing on your BDS.

By girlwatcher315 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 7:17 pm:

My Medicare sent me a letter saying they would not cover me next year and I'd have to find something else. I went to a local broker, and the same coverage went from $130 a month down to $50 per month for same coverage.

By doctortits2 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 7:30 pm:

MY beef with Obama was that in his first term, he canceled the "Cost of Living Allowance" for SS benefits and VA benefits three years in a row...then when it was time for him to run for re-election he put it back in place....No other president had done that before, or since...

By wilmadickfit2da on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 8:03 pm:

Doc that’s because voters’ memories are as short as Epsteins little dick.

This might be an issue in 26 but it will not be resolved by the incoming candidates I Assure you.

So bak4moredick if trump actually came up with an alternative plan would anyone from your brain dead cluster approve with any part of it?

No need. We know the answer.

By z062 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 8:20 pm:

Since no one else asked the OP...

Was there an explanation why there was an increase in the premium and why the deductibles went down?

I am on Medicare too. I have not received any communications.

I cannot be the only one not receiving a notification. I also can not believe the OP is the only one who did.

By z062 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 8:21 pm:

My apologies. His deductibles went up while the coverage lessened.

By mdtdybare on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 8:21 pm:

I was lucky to have heart surgery before Obama. I would be completely screwed after Obama canceled union "Cadillac insurance"
Thanks democrats

By caspertg on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 10:58 pm:

Yes I looked it up and it didn’t say why.

By z062 on Friday, December 5, 2025 - 11:32 pm:

My first thought was that it was connected to the one big beautiful bill passed and signed into law July 4th of this year.

It appears that thought was in fact correct.

What was described in your first post of this thread is consistent with what was passed.

I might suggest you take a look at some changes for services that will now need pre authorization outside the one big beautiful bill effective the first of the coming year.

You live in one of the 6 states that made these types of changes.

To be fair, those states are a mixture of both blue states and red states.

IMHO the better plan is NO plan. There is no entitlement to health care in the Constitution, so leave it to business to provide.

WHENEVER the government gets involved in anything, the costs go up, simply because, like we are seeing in Minnesota, no one in government checks to make sure the billing is accurate.

When I was growing up in the 50's, my father had health insurance for catastrophic injury or illness, like when my mother developed NHL. Otherwise, he paid for medical services. I remember him talking about how much my little brother cost. But the point is that he paid and it was affordable, because the government was not involved.

Nowadays, with insurance companies and the medical-pharma industry owning Congress, medical care is outrageously expensive, compared to other G-20 nations. I place the blame on government. Any time the government gets into a field of business, it fucks up beyond belief. Why is college so expensive? Because Obama took over student loans and made them available to anyone.

Just wait until Mandami has New York bureaucrats start running the grocery stores. A clusterfuck to top all clusterfucks.

By lancecindy1 on Saturday, December 6, 2025 - 1:07 am:

Over64 is correct @ 5:26. If the Republicans can fix the health care cluster fuck, they will be in power for a very long time! I’m typically not a proponent of regulation, but how about opening up health care on a national level, instead of state by state with guidelines on profitability, what can and cannot be denied, etc. Surely there is somebody a lot smarter than me who can figure it out…

By rat_patrol on Saturday, December 6, 2025 - 9:12 am:

I’m on Medicare as well and have been told there will be a slight increase. I think it was $11. A month. But my social security increase will cover that easily.

By sactoguy on Saturday, December 6, 2025 - 1:20 pm:

Health "insurance" is a scam that generates billions in profits for a handful of Trump's buddies. Insurance company profits and administrative burden increase our health care costs by roughly 50%. Getting rid of the middleman and having a single payer national healthcare program was one of the options of the original Obamacare concept which was shot down by the Republicans when the program was trying to get through Congress.

By donorofboner on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 11:06 am:

Love seeing bak4 illustrate his/her ignorance about the legislative process…..eye roll

By donorofboner on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 11:07 am:

Sactoguy…..like the industry has no Dem buddies?! Are you that fucking naive? Stupid? Or both?

By mistaflyer52 on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 12:44 pm:

Obamacare lowered premiums????? Subsidies lowered premiums!!! The average monthly obamacare premium is over $500!!!

By mistaflyer52 on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 12:46 pm:

If obama's name is attached to it, it means you're getting fucked!!

By sactoguy on Monday, December 8, 2025 - 2:10 am:

Hey Donorofboner,

It was the Republicans who shot the program down dumbass. Talk about being fucking naive and stupid...you continue to buy the diarrhea that donnie demento spews out of his mouth....

By snappahead8 on Monday, December 8, 2025 - 7:43 am:

I'll say this again, for the umteenth time. If you want something to cost less, then make sure the government stays far away from it. Privatize health insurance and regulate the insurance companies. Insurance companies have way too much control on the health care system and politicians are too deep in their pockets.

By andiamo469 on Monday, December 8, 2025 - 3:18 pm:

"Getting rid of the middleman and having a single payer national healthcare program was one of the options of the original Obamacare concept which was shot down by the Republicans when the program was trying to get through Congress."

ummm sactoguy, the democrats had control of the house and senate when that clusterfuck of a bill was passed. The republicans couldn't stop anything that was in that bill.
