New dress debate

My wife ordered this dress to wear to a Christmas party. At close to 51 years old I think she looks great in it and I’d love to see her wear it. She said it looks like lingerie and is too tight and revealing for a Christmas party with friends and associates from work. Let’s hear your thoughts.

She purchased it because it had built in support and “tummy control”. I told her that her “tummy” will be the last thing people focus on. Lol

It’s not a company Christmas party but there will be a few people from my job there. She wants to save the dress for NYE and find something else to wear for Christmas.

I want to see her wear out but I also want her to be comfortable.

Comfort is key word. NYE with white shawl sounds nice.

Even if it’s not an official office party you did mention people from work will be there. Word will get back to your employer. So, it comes down to weather you, and more importantly, your wife are comfortable with it.

She is very comfortable in revealing clothing. It’s the atmosphere that she’s concerned with. I guess NYE makes more sense. She also like the shawl idea

Your wife is right. Inappropriate for a Christmas party with "friends and associates". But she does look great in it. The only place where it would be appropriate to wear something like that, is if she was coming to see me...lol.

Since you asked for opinions, I'd keep that dress at home, to be worn in private, only for you.

She looks great in the dress. The shawl is a good idea. But, the dress is probably a bit “much” for a Christmas party, unless it is also a sexy swinger party.

Put a nice slit up one side of it from the bottom of the hem upwards and wear it for New Year’s Eve party. She will have lots of folks wanting to ring in the New Year with her!

female opinion here: for the Christmas party I'd say nope, too reviling, even with a shawl/jacket.
Needs to find something else, a bit more conservative.

Thanks for all the comments. She does look sexy in it but she is definitely not wearing it to the Christmas party. She said “this is why I can’t order clothes online. The picture looks cute with the size 6 model wearing it. It make me look like a whore in a size 14” 😂

It is a really great dress and looks nice on her. She is right though, too much for Christmas Party with the possibility of any bosses being there. The dress would be perfect for a New Year's Eve dress. Add some hot stockings, really sexy, pointy shoes, etc. and Even Father Time will "perk" up.

It would not be right for any company party that I have been to. She does look fantastic in it. A private party would fit the dress better.

Your wife has always been a beauty on the Request side. I know she has confidence in herself and in her looks. I love seeing her pics that's for sure. This is my opinion. Guys don't care about a tummy. A lot of women have them. Is she looking to "promote" herself in a sexual way or does she just want to look nice. You know she'll have a lot of men staring at her. Probably some women as well, but not for the same reason. Looking sexy and looking nice, to me, are two different things. Is this a formal party such has tux or coat/tie? I think this dress would be better for a NYE party or club. In our experience, for a standard Christmas party with coworkers some might be dressed down. I think something more conservative, but still nice. Maybe show some cleavage, but not as much of her breasts.
