OK.. a very regular topic of discussion here revolves around you armchair tough guys shooting to kill someone for various reasons from public attacks to home invasions.
Big talk. Blow their brains out. I’m trained! I’m brave and strong.

OK big guys, how many of you have actually shot or killed someone’s. Probably zero.

Ask a veteran or police officer who has actually looked into the eyes of someone as they shot or killed them. Why do you think so many have PTSD, loose their jobs and family.

Big talk yes but in real life taking a life is more than blowing out of your ass on a porn site.

Ask someone who has killed someone what it’s like. Not someone who dropped a bomb or straffed a street in Afghanistan, someone who actually watched someone die.

Not the big game you think it is. Don’t ask how I know. All the pills in the pharmacy don’t help.

Wow. Puffed up a bit this morning? Take your meds and leave
The adults alone to discuss adult stuff.

Thankfully not many here have had to pull the trigger and those who have are coping in their own way.

No two shootings are alike. Just as the results differ with each who had to use the option of last resort.

Take your meds and call us after your nap.

I have never been in a position where my life or family or property was threatened . I haven’t even been in a physical fight in 40 years . But make no mistake, if my home was invaded or someone was trying to break in, I would have no problem shooting them . I have an AR and a pistol drip pump Mosberg . Only minimal training, but I won’t miss with the shot gun at close range .

By samandkim2020 on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 12:59 pm:

Bro, if your meds are not working, get some real life help, posting on porn site is not therapeutic.

By wilmadickfit2da on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 1:02 pm:

Right on Sam. Take all the meds the docywill give you. It’s time that heals all wounds. Meds are good short term but get over it and thank god you prevailed in a terrible situation.

If you need to to protect yourself and or others do it
Facts , Even if in a dire situation , the consequences are nearly overwhelming , you will face charges and likely be jailed , you will need an experienced criminal lawyer with a firm backing him , your entire life will be investigated as well as family and friends , your employer will be visited and aware of the situation , you will be viewed as a liability , you will remain under scrutiny far after , it will follow you in any situation you have after . You will be sued in civil court , the costs are immense . Yes , circumstances differ , the resolve may be different and I’m sure the “experts” will counter
everything here . This was my experience and research proved it the same for many . The Justice System is not always Just .

By nowfkme on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 1:30 pm:

Regardless of the physical training, I think the mental aspect is most important. Are you mentally prepared to kill someone. If not, you need to give it serious thought along with repercussions, if any. If there is any doubt, keep the gun locked up at home. YOU have to be mentally prepared to kill someone or you will be the one killed.

Maybe if people didn't vote for democrats that take the money but don't do anything or let criminals go people would not be worried about crime. Maybe people are traumatized from crime and won't let that happen again. Maybe democrats should enforce law instead of paying criminals for votes like they paid in 64 all over again. Maybe people have to much to lose in theft and need to protect that. Maybe democrats should have stopped more drugs and locked up tweekers. Maybe democrats shouldn't use criminals to make money.
Lock up criminals and they won't get shot. Democrats don't enforce law and order. They embezzle and let criminals go. Maybe I spent over 100,000 for a reason and should bill the democrats for my cost for protection because they don't do the job of policing. Maybe democrats shouldn't push to defend police. Maybe the district attorney should back the police. If democrats had done anything right people would not have these problems.

By mistified on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 1:41 pm:

You think you are alone with ptsd and traumatized and have nightmares? I finally fell asleep at 6am. I was awake at 7,15. Am afraid of sleep.

By bcva on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 1:44 pm:

To the op get real-time help. Vietnam vet here PTSD is real and continues till the end of your time. A daily effort required to control it. Enough said.

By mistified on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 1:44 pm:

Rclife,,,is extremely and exactly correct. Very much so the last sentence.

By maninbham on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 1:49 pm:

What’s your point? What’s the alternative of having defend yourself in your life? Are you saying we should just let somebody come in and kill us? I know that the chances of that actually happening or it doesn’t mean that any of us wouldn’t do it and damn the consequences.

By mistified on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 1:50 pm:

Good thing Trump is stopping wars. It not only saves money but that way the globalist can't take the Christian patriotic men out leaving woman and children defenseless.

By rclife on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 1:54 pm:

man , no one stated that

By mistified on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 1:55 pm:

If your life is actually threatened and they are shooting at you. Fucking shoot them, but be prepared to be the next Rittenhouse.

By mistified on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 2:01 pm:

Christian patriot enlisted to help and defend, protect and black was drafted. You don't think globalist knew what they were doing? Please....

By hotwifecpl1965 on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 2:05 pm:

If you shoot a white man, you probably won’t have a problem ! But, if you shoot a person of color that is just trying to better himself at your expense, you better have a good lawyer !

By damnthatriver on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 2:05 pm:

Nice wording in your rant alexdavid. Kind of like asking the board if they still beat their wives.

I personally would have no problem before, during or after, killing someone who intended harm to my family or myself. My conscious would'nt forgive me for taking an innocent life, even through accidental means.

As far as killing a thug who meant harm to me or my family, I would tell myself if I hadn't taken the thug out, he may well have taken me or a family member out. A rational conscious works off of common sense and would have no reason to hound you if it was "him or me".

By bak4mor on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 2:05 pm:

Not to speak for the OP, but I think the point of the post is to call out the bravado and speak to the realities. I do think social media feeds the rhetoric.

Its easy to talk about killing others in the theoretical or when its a perceived enemy.

By mistified on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 2:05 pm:

If they couldn't abort them,,,just send them to war?.True war mongers are Satanist and don't like Christians either. Got ya thinking?

By rodrey on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 2:19 pm:

rclife and bak4mor. Both are the voice of reason viewing this post.
The aftershocks will be great and do the defending shooter and his family great harm.

More than likely, anyone you had to stop in that situation was at the end of a long list of crimes.
You and u alone put a stop to that creatons terror.

You need a medal not a pill.

Trust me on this.

By hotwifecpl1965 on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 2:53 pm:

2:32 . I do agree about the long list of crimes . Most people killed by law enforcement have had twenty or more arrests, but according to their grandparents, they were good boys and about to turn their lives around !

By doctortits2 on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 3:13 pm:

The Demos/liberals don't care about the drug traffickers, or due process or laying a guilty trip on our military for defending our our country...
Their only goal is how much damage they can do to Trump and his administration.

And thanks to the Demos/Liberals and their efforts demonizing cops..... law enforcement is no longer attractive to young men and women...as older officers retire, they are not being replaced...

By couplex123 on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 3:25 pm:

I have had two men try to force their way into my home. I stepped back pulled my weapon. Just as I was going to shoot they turned
And ran. I was happy I did not have to kill them. On the other hand
I was more than ready to protect my family. They were caught a few minutes later since they had been breaking into homes in the area for about two weeks. They were seen running down the street.

By hotwifecpl1965 on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 3:44 pm:

My house was broken into and burglarized about 30 years ago when we were on vacation. Not being a gun owner then, I went out and bought the pistol grip short barrel pump shotgun. The store owner said that I would never have shoot it, just rack it and the criminals would flee . I never have had to shoot anyone or just rack it . I am happy about that, but again, I would have no problem taking out anyone trying to break into my home and I would sleep like a baby, knowing that I even helped my friends and neighbors !

By doctortits2 on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 3:58 pm:

If push come to shove and you fear for your life and family's safety, and you have to pull out a weapon, be ready for it ...defending yourself and your own gets Ugly...

By mistified on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 4:02 pm:

The person who is shot is already dead so it wouldn't matter in reality. They are stealing for more drugs. They are dead .they hear voices and are possessed. If they decide to fight instead of flight and you shoot them. You are helping them by putting them out of their misery and in self defense. Just to bad cops and jocks and wouldn't figure that out. Look what Rittenhouse went through. One viewing of the video and the case should have never been in court. Cops are almost as brain dead as the criminals and just or more violent.

By mistified on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 4:04 pm:

Cops are...not and

By mistified on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 4:08 pm:

Seriously have you ever met a cop who understood a single thing. No. You have to really explain things and they are deer in headlights. Why? Because that is who they hire so they won't question themselves for the tyranny they commit.

By ironsausage on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 5:23 pm:

I as a serious gun collector have never had to shoot anyone, nor do I want to ever have to do so. I have carried a gun off and on for over 40 years. In all that time I have only brandished the gun once, which I believe caused a criminal to rethink robbing me, thus saving his life.

By jonahb5 on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 8:24 pm:

I've never shot anyone in civilian life, but I have a mentality that shooting someone intentionally doing harm to me or my family would be easier than shooting some kid wearing the wrong uniform who was conscripted into the army of a dictator fighting the U.S.

By slowindown788 on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 8:57 pm:

You come after my wife or family.... I doubt I will think twice ever again in my life.

By slowindown788 on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 9:06 pm:

IF I was a cop killing a drunk or somebody on drugs I could see some second thoughts.. MAYBE.

Soldier killing others in WAR??? Its either him or me? EASY choice.

You come into my house? EASY choice.

"Happy" about ANY of the above? Of course not. But if you are taking another person's life as a law-abiding citizen... the fact the dead person is dead.... ain't my fault.

By alabamabert on Sunday, December 7, 2025 - 9:07 pm:

some of us are old enough to remember nam when it was open season no limit it was kill or be killed alexdavid fuckhead

By derzing on Monday, December 8, 2025 - 12:09 am:

Good point...BUT BUT BUT...we cant ask someone who shoulda shot and killed someone but didnt and was killed for their lack of action....

I hope...no pray...I ll never have to make that decision...but Im fire arms trained and if I have too I ll do it...

Im guessing nobody wants to kill another human being but if they choice is him or me....I choose me...

By abacus100 on Monday, December 8, 2025 - 4:43 am:

Until you are in that spot you never know. Personally I do know! And still live with it every single day.

As the OP said there’s an awful lot of bravado and BS posted - seen some real Tough guys freeze up when in the moment.

Would I ever want to do it again....no; would I if i had to ..... yes.

By clyde601958 on Monday, December 8, 2025 - 5:42 am:

I’m not really addressing the question directly But all those first time gun purchasers people that purchased weapons during Bidens term . I hope are properly trained and as far as that is concerned. Everyone is properly trained and continue training. Your life just changed when you pull the trigger I had an intruder once. I was properly trained. It turned out to be an accidental mistake in the person got the wrong address. I was well positioned and had a bead on him. But wasn’t in danger. The next day he and the neighbor came over and visited over a couple beers. They kind of laughed it off but I wasn’t really into laughing about it. I’m sure there are a few out there that the OP is talking about . I hope I never have to pull the trigger. I do try not to put myself in that position. I’d just as soon let the law take care of it

By texasforlife on Monday, December 8, 2025 - 6:18 am:

I was a firefighter for 30 years. While on the job, I had two incidences where a guy pointed a gun, point blank, at my crew and I. That scared the crap out of all of us, making one of my guys quit. I think it's different than killing a home invader than someone in a war. In a war, the other guy is fighting for what he thinks is right. Killing him for his beliefs isn't easy. However, killing a home invader is different. That guy is not defending his homeland or fighting for his country. He's nothing but a thug looking to hurt/kill you or a family member for his own benefit.

Break into my house and see what happens!! As long as I know my wife, kids and cats are behind me, anything in front of me is toast!

By m1229 on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 - 5:35 pm:

After 23 years in the Army --- infantry +

God never put me in that position for which i am grateful

But I have had a soldier die in my arms...

Having never pulled the trigger against another, my assumption is that repetitive training kinda desensitizes us and immediate action drills just kick in. But I dont know for sure.
