Sunday Dinner Thread

Afternoon everyone! sorry I am late! I had to go out and get some caffeine. I m afraid I slept away another weekend. Thank God for the patience of my Beloved Bozo and Kitty because they staid the path with me. We finally got sub freezing temps the other day. I took Bozo out and he played cold feet. He would not move. I had to pick him up and take him to the end of the walk so he had to walk back and do his duty. he won't wear boots, but I am going to try to find some that he will wear. Last week I bought some material that can use to make some winter coats for him. His old coat will make the perfect pattern. I might try to add a hood onto it. He doesn't like hoods, but his ears get cold quick. I got some red material to make some Christmas stockings too. Now if I could only get up the get up and go to make them.

So, I am sure many of you have figured out that this time of year is a bad time of year for me. I try very hard to keep mit as light as possible in here as I know that there are others here that fight the same fight. AI apologize for that. I just got off the phone with a friend of mine who suffers in the same way, but it is mostly because she blames herself for her son's death. There is nothing she could have done to prevent it. The deal was signed and delivered when he did what he did, but she beats herself up just about every minute of the day. aOne good thing is that we understand each other and we are able to lift ourselves some together. She is a love and a blessing. I wasasked on Thnksgiving wjat I was Thankful for this year and there was no question... my friends. All of them.... from here and from around me. Without all of you, I would not have been getting through the last few years. You aren't nebulous people from a board, as far as I am concerned. Each and every one of you are very real to me in RL. You extend to me love and caring snd that counts for so much to me. thnk you all.

Dinner...maybe hamburger. First I need to go out and do some decorating in the front hall of the apartment house. We decorate for all holidays. I am going to set the thread to auto until after I get these things done. If anyone wants to host till then, please feel free to do so. Merry Christmas to You All!

Really cold day here in Minnesota, with a high of 8.
Did some house cleaning and laundry today. Hoping to get out tomorrow.

Dinner was shrimp scampi.

It's been cold here this week, but it got up to the 40's today and a lot of snow melted.

Sounds like you have some projects to keep you busy. I hope that Bozo likes a new coat with a hood. Maybe you can get him something that would work as boots, but that he would use.

Dinner tonight was homemade chili.

Homemade chili for me tonight. It was delicious and I’ll probably have it tomorrow as well.

Grilled ham & cheese on sourdough. One of my favorites when no one wants to cook. Big cold glass of milk.

Hi everyone! I just finised putting up my directions. I didn't realize how late it has gotten. I haven't eaten a thing yet, but I did manage to break off another finger nail. Dang, that didn't feel so great. Ooops.

You all have great dinners, as always. They are making my stomach growl. Dirtyred...that ham sandwich sounds great. Chilli certainly would warm my insides up! Mike, shrimp scampi was a fave of my mom. Always a treat. Thank you for asking about Bozo. He has come a long, long way from where he was earlier this past summer. i keep him close which seems to be ok by him. Kitty comes and curls up in my arm nowadays, which I love too. Of course, she is always a cat as she got on my bookshelf today and broke my little Rudolph. Not an old one, so I didn't have a fit about it. I just put it back together. Mrndmrshobbit...I am going to get the machine out and see what I can do. I always chuckle when he has his coat on cause he looks like a football. LOL!

I will see you all next weekend. Hopefully I will do better. Gotta be up early tomorrow for plowing. Gotta move the car for them. If you don't, they will tow you and charge you $200. Ouch! We are being threatened with white stuff again. Take care everyone!!!!
