Three adults in California have reportedly been hospitalized with a severe strain of Mpox, marking a troubling first for the United States. Ok, so what. It's a sexually transmitted disease. They chose to have random sex with a stranger, and got burned. Gotta be careful.

Clade I mpox is a more severe strain of the monkeypox virus, historically causing higher mortality (around 10% historically, though lower in recent outbreaks) and found mainly in Central/East Africa, known for causing severe illness, but a variant, Clade Ib, has emerged, spreading via sexual contact and causing global outbreaks, though potentially less severe than Clade Ia.
