Bought 5 dozen eggs today for $9.99 great price I think.

Around 2 bucks a doz.
That's about right

GREAT! Eggs have come down($1.97 here), gasoline has come down( $2.29 regular), butter has come down some.
Hamburger and steaks are still way high, so is lumber, utilities, batteries and printer ink. Speaking of printer ink, it's almost cheaper to buy a new Printer.

I hear the current Administration has finally decided to do something about "AFFORDABILITY," instead of calling it a Democratic hoax!
Maybe THEY are finally opening their eyes and ears and have decided they better do something for the People.
After all, it was promised to lower prices at Day One which has been almost a year ago.

FYI: if one watches the sales, used coupons/store savings cards and willing to buy non-brand name items one can make the grocery budget stretch-- just as out parents and grandparents did.

Bird flu did not cause egg prices to soar, although it may have contributed. The big poultry and meat processors were fined and convicted of price gouging and causing shortages, to raise prices. They chose to pay the fines rather than lower prices. The Democrats agreed to allow this.
Now that trump is investigating this, prices are coming down.
