Did some research 350m people in USA 20m people uses Obamacare or 5.1 percent of population.

But to hear Demorats more people are in trouble.

Don't understand.

By tonyb on Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 7:17 pm:

The democrats are lying as usually

They claim the republicans want health care costs to go up, that is not true.

If we pass the democrats bill, health care costs stay the same. They want the government to pay the insurance bill for 20 million people. In reality they want taxpayers to pay the bill. This does nothing to lower medical costs

This is because Obamacare failed to lower medical costs, all it did was force insurance companies to charge premiums to people for services they did not need. No one really cares what the health care cost is if insurance pays for it. I'll bet 99% of people have no idea what their insurance company really pays.

The republicans want to pay the insurance money directly to the poor people that need it so they can choose the health care they need. Economists say this free market approach will actually lower health care costs for everyone.

The democrats lie about eveything these days, never trust them

By doctortits2 on Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 7:26 pm:

I think the Demos want to have this issue stay alive , front and center come the mid-terms. they have nothing else they can count on to turn voters against the GOP.

And Biden bailed out school loans....that's where my taxes went..

By ironsausage on Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 7:30 pm:

The Democrats have no solutions other than give us a bunch of money to get kick backs off of, Oh and they hate Trump.

By rammdamn on Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 7:40 pm:

Funny how Trump has had almost ten years to come up with an alternative. He promised that Americans would have a "phenomenal" health care plan. What has he got? Nothing! Absolutely nothing! Not even a concept! LOL! Maybe in two weeks!

When do MAGAs realize that he lied to them? AGAIN!

By hotwifecpl1965 on Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 7:55 pm:

I have said it before! When a surgeon can bill more in a day than most people make in a year, or one operation and hospital stay can cost more than most people make in two years, there is no good way to pay for healthcare !

By dcolusguy98 on Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 8:27 pm:

Ram why didn’t Biden attempt to to fix it? Trump has only been in office for 5 of the past ten years. Biden was sucking off the taxpayer tit for 50 or so years

By opksmwm on Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 9:23 pm:

Amazing all the claims and promises remembered and not kept. One very important part of Obama Care was ALL people would have health insurance. As pointed out above less than 20 million people are covered by Obama Care. 30 million uninsured people would become insured. So 15 years and trillions of dollars later, us responsible people are paying 4 times more than our 2010 policy cost, our typical deductable went from $1,500 to $6,500, fewer drugs are covered and we now have 65 million uninsured people in our USA. How can any sane person defend those numbers and want to keep this program going another 3 years.

By rat_patrol on Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 9:31 pm:

Those couple of years between our retirement and Medicare we shopped for health insurance.

I can tell you this….there is nothing affordable about ACA. You’re better off with nothing at that price.

By harrytocco on Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 9:40 pm:

I just read it's 50 million, 1 in 7 americans

By bak4mor on Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 10:40 pm:

Amazing that people can't seem to navigate a search engine.

45M ÷ 344M = 13%

History is irrelevant. Republicans are responsible for ending the subsidies, which will cause huge increases for 1 of every 7 Americans.

This will come back to haunt them at the ballot box.

By texascplforcpl on Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 10:43 pm:

I support the elimination of ACA but have concerns about handing the funds to those of the program. I do not see the average person paying for their medical insurance. Instead, they will wastefully spend the money with the expectations of getting free medical when its needed all at the expense of the taxpayer.

By jonahb5 on Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 11:01 pm:

IMHO the better plan is NO plan. There is no entitlement to health care in the Constitution, so leave it to business to provide.

When I was growing up in the 50's, my father had health insurance for catastrophic injury or illness, like when my mother developed NHL. Otherwise, he paid for medical services. I remember him talking about how much my little brother cost. But the point is that he paid and it was affordable, because the government was not involved.

Nowadays, with insurance companies and the medical-pharma industry owning Congress, medical care is outrageously expensive, compared to other G-20 nations. I place the blame on government. Any time the government gets into a field of business, it fucks up beyond belief. Why is college so expensive? Because Obama took over student loans and made them available to anyone.

Just wait until Mandami has New York bureaucrats start running the grocery stores. A clusterfuck to top all clusterfucks.

By rammdamn on Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 11:37 pm:

Is fire and police protection in the Constitution? Is the right to a basic public education in the Constitution?

Modern societies evolve like Canada, Australia, the UK, the EU countries and most of Asia who provide universal single payer health care as part of their social safety-net.

But some countries that haven't progressed much beyond the Cro-Magnon stage still leave their citizens to fend for themselves.

By mistaflyer52 on Friday, December 12, 2025 - 6:54 am:

Democrats are jerks!! The average ACA premium is $500 per month. Those on ACA only pay $75 per month and the taxpayer subsidies are $425 per month, per person. If the ACA was working, it wouldn't need subsidies!! What's not to understand, you stupid democrat jerkoffs!!

By hotwifecpl1965 on Friday, December 12, 2025 - 7:37 am:

11:01, I agree with you that Mandani is an idiot, but hopefully when reality sets in, he won’t be able to do the ridiculous things that he campaigned on and actually believes in . That would be another discussion though !

By dh747 on Friday, December 12, 2025 - 8:27 am:

bak4mor, If the only way the ACA can work is to keep subsidizing it really isn't working.
Nothing Obama said happened. The cost has raised not lowered. People didn't get to keep their doctor. It made it worse for people with preexisting conditions and has forced millions of people on Medicaid. And because Medicaid pays less many doctors won't take patients on Medicaid so they get less choices.
Maybe voters will remember that.

By jands69 on Friday, December 12, 2025 - 8:45 am:

Keep telling people ACA sucks Republicans all the way to midterm loss. You clowns are in charge. Its your responsibilty to fix it. But no plan so complain about it cause thats the easy thing to do. Alot of red states residents on it and they will will be pissed come November. Lame duck Donny wont get anything done after he is neutered and impeached and its all the Republicans fault.

Now back to complaining about the Dems that gets you old fcks hard

By donorofboner on Friday, December 12, 2025 - 9:05 am:

BCVA…..prime example of life and society now. majority doesn’t rule! It’s all about incoveniencing and penalizing everyone else to appease the few….

By hotwifecpl1965 on Friday, December 12, 2025 - 9:29 am:

The problem with everything today is:
No personal responsibility
No work ethic
No ethics period
Most people feel entitled to free stuff or subsidies
Illegals costing taxpayers billions .

By dh747 on Friday, December 12, 2025 - 9:45 am:

jands69 You clowns were in charge When Biden was pretending to be president. What did you a-holes do?
More subsidies to prop up another democrat failure.
You are never going to pin that fucking mess on republicans. You own it.
A fucking bill passed by democrats that neither read it nor understood it.

By dh747 on Friday, December 12, 2025 - 9:50 am:

jands69 And by the way, republicans do have a plan, and it wouldn't matter if it was the best plan we could get democrats would fight it because Trump might get credit.
Democrats value talking points far more than helping the country.

By hotwifecpl1965 on Friday, December 12, 2025 - 9:58 am:

In fairness to the liberal democratic, socialist idiots on here , Trump really doesn’t have a plan that will work !

By texasgent73 on Friday, December 12, 2025 - 11:58 am:

JOHN, hotwifecpl1965
Let's hope more conservative, far right, trumpy bear pendejos begin to admit Trump never had a plan.

I don't know a thing about ACA other than it was an insurance forced on Temp Workers who did not have any insurance.
My factory paid outstanding benefit (medical and savings to our Full time workers but around 2010 my factory stopped hiring full time workers and went to Temp Services for the work hiring.
These Temp Services did not, may not and probably still do not offer medical and savings benefits.

Thus the ACA was born/created! Workers hated it being forced on them. I can still hear them bitching about having to pay $125-$200 per month based on single or family plans, but a few years later many workers were glad they had some sort of insurance, to help cover some medical expenses!

The GOP has always hated the ACA, Obamacare as they like to call it! YET, THEY have not produced a better Plan, just concepts of Plans!

By iblondo09 on Friday, December 12, 2025 - 12:32 pm:

ramm, jan, texasagent, hot. did you all bump your heads or just lose a bet? Since January 09, until January 2025 democrats had the white house for all but 4 years, Republicans had the House for 2 of those years. So, when exactly did the Republicans have a chance to can the ACA? Even now the Republicans are going to have to use the nuclear option to do anything!

12:34PM,
Republicans have had control of the House and Senate throughout those years in which THEY could have TRIED to produce and PASS a better Health Plan. Obama nor Biden would have Vetoed a better, cheaper cost Plan.

By hotwifecpl1965 on Friday, December 12, 2025 - 4:15 pm:

12:32, so after 5 years of Trump, can you tell me anything good about his proposed plan ! He has no plan and I am anti Obama, Biden, Cameltoe and all of those idiots that have tried to ruin the country . If Trump has a plan, tell me a little about it !

By texasgent73 on Friday, December 12, 2025 - 7:21 pm:

I meant to say, "Obama nor Biden would NOT have Vetoed a better, cheaper cost Plan."

I believe Obama and Biden would have agreed to a favorable, more affordable health plan, for the American people.
