South of Canaveral, down in Ocean Ridge this summer you needed a 12ft. step ladder to get to the shore line from the sand. Renourished somewhat
south of the inlet but still need to go to the beach at low tide to get much beach.

Good morning LB,
The Playalinda section of Canaveral National Seashore has roughly 8 of the 13 beach lots open. The beaches are in great shape and very accessible for surf fishing. The beach road north of the Eddy Creek is closed off due to sand wash over. This summer's storms and King tide caused lots of dune erosion.
The Eddy Creek parking area has a boat launch and a fishing pier on the west end of the lot. I believe the water their is brackish. It is a part of Mosquito Lagoon.
Hope that helps...

I was into snorkeling back in the day and did several coral reefs in south Florida and Mexico. Saw some amazing sea creatures including sharks.
