If it’s not local or a number I don’t recognize I don’t answer, they can leave a message if it’s important.

The person who finds a way to stop this crap should be a very wealthy person.

I’m tired of the spam calls too. I do what Jack the stripper does. Just don’t answer if they are not in my contacts. Most don’t leave a message so it must not be too important.

Swipe em open and lay the phone down and let them listen to you talk. Eventually they hang up and they communicate that your a dick to others and though it never stops that does slow em the fuck down.

The problem with that is that the Spam calls are all machine generated. A human doesn't come on until you answer at least one machine generated question.

The last one that my system didn't recognize as Spam, and I answered, went:

Me: "Hello. ."

Machine: "Hello, there. This is Victor, with an important message from your local services provider. How are we doing today?"

Me: "I'm dying. Please send help."

Machine: "Give me one moment to connect you to one of our licensed agents who has an incredible deal available only today."

Me: "Fuck you." CLICK.

"Thanks for calling Fred's Pizza, Pasta, and Abortion clinic, where yesterdays loss is today's sauce! are you picking up or dropping off?"

Never get them

When a realtor calls asking if I want to sell,

Very simple remedy. On iPhone go to phone ap and scroll down and find silence unknown callers. If the number is not in your contacts the phone won’t ring

I don't answer any call that is not expected. They can leave a message and if it's on the up and up I will call them back. I am skeptical AF these days. AI has upped the ante.

if your name dose not show up on my caller id then i do not answer, if they dont leave a mesg. then i block the number. This does not really help but dose seem to slow them down a bit.

Displayed phone numbers are not a good way of determining if it is a scam or robo call. I get many calls from Dr offices I deal with that have out of area area codes or names of companies that are not affiliated with the office. Many times they show up as State offices.
