Forgot to post this a week ago.
But who remembers this album? I introduced it to my 7th grade teacher who by the way was hot.
I was 11, she was relatively new to teaching , about late 20’s.
Would wear short shorts in gym class. Fantastic ass.
I like when inanimate objects remind me of simpler times….
Wa Wa Wa. …..I want to Phuck you 🎵🎶🎼

portions recorded live at the Commack Arena, Long Island NY, as I recall. The place was kind of a dump ... circuses, flea markets, long Island Ducks hockey as well.

I was going to to JUCO at that time. They had a class that ran a low watt FM station with outside speakers on the campus. Apparently they didn’t have a large budget because it seemed that Peter was all they had on.

Drove 2 hours to see the concert. My buddies and me thought he was the coolest thing ever. Then again we thought we were too.
Gary Wright was opening act if my memory is correct. Might have that name wrong.
Great memory!

Seems to me it was recorded in 4 or 5 different places if my old memory is correct.

Played bass with a guitar player back in the early 70’s that was already using a talk box before Frampton did, he was an amazing guitar player but picked a high paying occupation over being a musician, smart move. Frampton was the opening act for a concert we attended. I was more into the late Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Allman Brothers and a few more.
Damn I am so fucking old

The album Frampton Comes Alive! was recorded between June and November 1975, primarily at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco as well as Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium in San Rafael, California, Long Island Arena in Commack, New York, and a concert on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus in Plattsburgh, New York. The Winterland songs were recorded on a 24-track master recorder. Other concerts were captured on a 16-track recorder. Recordings from four shows were used for the original album. Master tapes were recorded at 15 inches per second using professional Dolby "A" noise reduction.[9]
I have the 33rpm album, I am of that age, I was 17 and into collecting music and spending my money on professional stereo equipment. I still have the equipment but the 300+ lps are worth more money. Mint condition in sleeves with all the original posters, now to pedal them before I'm too old.
Grew up listening to the Beatles, Beach Boys, Led Zeppelin and Motown.
After graduating high school in '73 I slowly moved heavy into the New York City Disco scene. White Platform shoes, Apricot colored 3 piece suit, big afro, drinking 7&7s, drove a '76 Blue Pontiac Lemans with a white landau roof with a white interior, and I did the Hustle!!!
Then in '76 I saw this album in a record store and, not knowing who Frampton was, I bought it because I liked the cover. When I put the needle on Cut 1, Side 1, it was an awakening, and I was changed for the rest of my life!!! My music taste was changed, almost immediately, back to rock and roll. My mind was blown!!! Van Halen, Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Kiss, David Bowie, Stones, Queen, Black Sabbath... Rock was back and I loved it!!
I got rid of the suits and moved back to jeans, sneakers and tee shirts, rock concerts and smoking pot once in a while. It was such an Amazing Album!!
Great album! Still listen to it today….
