They definitely should bring in the national guard and the governor should have a 24-hour lockdown just so everyone can cool off.
I'm all for everyone's right to protest but these protesters are going way too far. Yes that guy has a right to conceal carry but bringing a gun to these particular protests was not a good idea.
I'm all for supporting law enforcement and what's going on in this country is so sad the demonization of law and law enforcement personnel
Everyone needs to cool off and all the politicians need to shut their mouths and stop inflaming the situation.
It's such a sad time in our country.

By bob696963 on Sunday, January 25, 2026 - 5:36 pm:
pj are you a total moron....they were shot because they threatened ICE officers....case closed
Trump voters are not being shot because we unlike liberals are not stupid.
We have had more illegals picked up in our county than in the greater Minneapolis area, all with no dead white privileged liberals.
Very few protests in our area, absolutely no protests like in Minneapolis, no soccer moms blocking federal agents, no unhinged Karen's with whistles, no blue and pink haired crazies screaming obscenities.
And maybe 3 ICE operations in our neighborhoods over the last year.
Our method of protecting our hard working undocumented seems to be working better than the super inelegant white privileged liberals methods
How many of you so called intelligent white privileged liberals need to die before you actually consider that your methods suck.
Maybe come down to MAGA country and see how we help our undocumented without us dying.
I mean everyday you guys say how much smarter you are than us dummies in Texas but you are dying and still have daily raids in your communities.
We are not dying and do not have daily raids, do not have civil unrest, but yet more are getting picked up in our area than in Minneapolis.
Could be our methods work better than yours, ever consider that
Paco, Juan, Santos, Miguel and the guys are asking you to please chill, don't die no more for them, you are not helping.
get rid of Timmy and the mayor and straighten that garbage out real fast. Omar that pOS needs to be deported just as quick
The ICE guys are human after all. They are under a tremendous amount of pressure and these liberal idiots keep inflaming them and getting in the way. Impeding every situation they can. Blocking roads with their vehicles, screaming, and confronting them with loaded guns for chrissakes. Justified or not, if you provoke an agent to that extent what do you think might eventually happen?? Both these people killed were 37 years old. Didn't they have anything better to do than to put themselves in these situations? Gee how about raising a family, furthering your career, hell, just staying home and out of the way. NOBODY is going to change anything. What a ridiculous way to loose your life How sad. Thank you radical left.

Sam you claim to have carried for 6 decades. 60 years would put you around 80. What a dumbazz.
By mrbobcat on Sunday, January 25, 2026 - 7:00 pm:
Get rid of Trump and problems will go not continue.
He has single handedly caused to mych hatred within the USA and other countries.
MAGA....Make A__hole Go Away
What? ^^^
By enjoyaunatural on Sunday, January 25, 2026 - 7:09 pm:
Mrbobcat is making it clear, the whole problem is their hatred for Trump bacause they lost the elections.
@deicer, dumb fuck, I am old as fuck and have carried for nearly 6 decades, well over 50 years.
I have made no secret on here that I am old, I am past retirement age but in damn good shape if I do say so myself
Also, I grew up in LA, people there carried then without a permit before they were of age ding dong.
Same goes for in Texas, lots of people carried before they maybe were supposed to.
But an 18-year-old active-duty member of the military could legally own a pistol in 1970's under federal law. The state I was living in had no restrictions on this, I just could not walk i and purchase it from a dealer.
carry back then was a don't ask don't tell kinda thing. Again, not all of us are white bread fed like you.
Educate yourself, I thought you guys were smarter and better educated and here you are acting ignorant and you guys dying every other week in Minneapolis. LOL
Not everyone is a white bread fed privledge liberal like you.
You have no fucking idea what goes on in the streets of some neighborhoods in America do you.
Dumb people, no wonder you guys keep dying.
I am not sure how many here carry daily or often, but you see the argument online a lot over conceal carry or open carry.
The main argument against open carry is when the perp sees the guy with a guy, he shoots him first.
Liberals always point that carrying a gun can actually cause you to be dead, which is true when you make stupid decisions while carrying a gun.
White privileged liberal Pretti made some very stupid decisions while carrying his gun and is dead today because of those decisions.
It was a tragic but preventable death.
carrying a gun in a crowd can lead to all sorts of issues.
In 2013 Following the LAX shooting, an extensive review by the Transportation Security Administration and related discussions by security experts concluded that arming all TSA screeners was not advisable.
Primarily due to concerns that it would make them primary targets once an armed assailant saw the gun, the armed TSA agent would at that point be a threat and a target at the same time.
It was also determined that carrying introduced significant risks, such as accidental discharges or weapon theft in crowded areas, which is why you do not take a gun to a peaceful protest.
@mrbobcat, get rid of all the white privileged liberals causing problems and problems will go away in Minneapolis.
We do not have any of those problems where I Live because we do not have as many dumb a** white privileged liberals to cause problems in our streets.
Trump is president over Minneapolis, they have civil unrest, you guys are dying there.
Trump is president over my city, we are not dying here, we have no civil unrest.
I am Hispanic, married to a legal immigrant and we actually help undocumented try to get legal, how are you guys helping again?
Stop making it about Trump, if you want to help undocumented, I can guide you on how to make a difference, a real difference.
Mamdani was on "The View" one day last week where he again stated his promise of free Daycare...
When asked where was the money going to come from...his answer was "the State".
That's how dumb liberals are..

Sam u r so full of shyt. Thanks for the laughs. Like I said 6 decades makes u almost 80. Simple math. Isn’t it time to head to the club or the hot tub?
the divide in this Country came when bumma was elected. Now what happens is you have networks like cnn and msnbc pushing hate after hate. People actually listen to that garbage and then Timmy steps in and says fight back and mayor fries does the same thing. Rather than calming the storm they fuel it. The walla
There you go
Call it for what it is. Stop the hate rhetoric and shut your yap and calm your city down
It really isnt that hard

Scottdale I live in Minnesota. The only part I disagree with you is putting Minnesota on lock down.
Hennepin county maybe. I think both Walz and Frey need to tell people to stand down. They need to show leadership.
7:00 very stupid post. Had Biden not opened the boarder. Or Democrats made Minneapolis a sanitary city, we would be talk about this.
You probably call Trump a felon, but support criminals in Minnesota. That's messed up thinking.

Didn't they already railroad a cop in Minnesota last year? (The Fall of Minneapolis:, 2023)
I say apply a 30% surcharge on income taxes in any state where the politicians do not support the constitution. That way the population will be incentivized not to elect any more a..holes.
That and call in the National Guard.
By mistified on Monday, January 26, 2026 - 2:47 am:
Not sure that would work. Newscam has every tax more than double in failifornia and half the state still votes for him. Of course lots don't pay taxes as they let lots of invading in for votes.

How you can defend that ICE agent for executing Pretti is beyond conscionable.

The left is running an organized insurgency. Here was a recent write up from a special operator.
"As a former Special Forces Warrant Officer with multiple rotations running counterinsurgency ops—both hunting insurgents and trying to separate them from sympathetic populations—I’ve seen organized resistance up close. From Anbar to Helmand, the pattern is familiar: spotters, cutouts, dead drops (or modern equivalents), disciplined comms, role specialization, and a willingness to absorb casualties while bleeding the stronger force slowly.
What’s unfolding in Minneapolis right now isn’t “protest.” It’s low-level insurgency infrastructure, built by people who’ve clearly studied the playbook.
Signal groups at 1,000-member cap per zone. Dedicated roles: mobile chasers, plate checkers logging vehicle data into shared databases, 24/7 dispatch nodes vectoring assets, SALUTE-style reporting (Size, Activity, Location, Unit, Time, Equipment) on suspected federal vehicles. Daily chat rotations and timed deletions to frustrate forensic recovery. Vetting processes for new joiners. Mutual aid from sympathetic locals (teachers providing cover, possible PD tip-offs on license plate lookups). Home-base coordination points. Rapid escalation from observation to physical obstruction—or worse.
This isn’t spontaneous outrage. This is C2 (command and control) with redundancy, OPSEC hygiene, and task organization that would make a SF team sergeant nod in recognition. Replace “ICE agents” with “occupying coalition forces” and the structure maps almost 1:1 to early-stage urban cells we hunted in the mid-2000s.
The most sobering part? It’s domestic. Funded, trained (somewhere), and directed by people who live in the same country they’re trying to paralyze law enforcement in. When your own citizens build and operate this level of parallel intelligence and rapid-response network against federal officers—complete with doxxing, vehicle pursuits, and harassment that’s already turned lethal—you’re no longer dealing with civil disobedience. You’re facing a distributed resistance that’s learned the lessons of successful insurgencies: stay below the kinetic threshold most of the time, force over-reaction when possible, maintain popular support through narrative, and never present a single center of gravity.
I spent years training partner forces to dismantle exactly this kind of apparatus. Now pieces of it are standing up in American cities, enabled by elements of local government and civil society. That should keep every thinking American awake at night.
Not because I want escalation. But because history shows these things don’t de-escalate on their own once the infrastructure exists and the cadre believe they’re winning the information war.
We either recognize what we’re actually looking at—or we pretend it’s still just “activism” until the structures harden and spread.
Your call, America. But from where I sit, this isn’t January 2026 politics anymore.
It’s phase one of something we’ve spent decades trying to keep off our own soil."

The goal of these insurgency operations is a color revolution, the tactics are straight out of the book "from dictatorshp to democracy" by Gene Sharp who worked for Harvard's "CIA".
The basic strategy is to continually escalate against government forces, putting them in unwinnable situations to provoke the use of force, which can then but used to portray them, all their actions, and the overall government as illegitimate in order to galvanize a broader rise up against them which topples the government.
^^^^ couldn't agree more it will eventually need to be settled in the streets
Wow I have a hard time understanding how Trumpers are saying that this shooting was justified. So mogent its your contention that the guy that got shot was part of an organized insurgency. Wow he is pretty amazing an that he worked at the VA hospital as a ICU nurse and also active in his community and everyone that knew him had nothing but good things to say about him. How is carrying a pistol to a demonstration different from carrying a pistol amywhere. He didnt do anything except help a lady up. He never once showed his gun and video clearly shows that border patrol disarmed him before they shot him. Have you noticed that Trump never sends Ice or anybody else into red states. I can tell you for 100% certain that there are way more illegal immigrants here in the Houston area than there are in all of Minnesota. Here's a thought in the last 5 years there has been 8 people killed by illegal immigrants here in the US. Now under Trump there has been over 30 people who have died in ICE custody including at least 2 that were citizens that we all know about. So its ok to execute some one that is legally carrying a weapon and also to ignore states rights.
Sorry that's bullshit. I respect all law enforcement. Its against our constitution to have a national police force which is exactly how Trump is using Ice. Unlike most on here I respect the constitution. Trump obviously doesn't.
Tx, Why would he think it’s a good idea to bring a weapon to what is supposed to be a peaceful protest? I know it’s his right to carry one but I would hope a little common sense would prevail apparently not

txheadgiver, yes it is legal to conceal carry, it is also a requirement to have the documentation regarding that on your person when you do carry. It is also a requirement to divulge that information to law enforcement if you interact in any way.
Simply proves: Play stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.

Add to that, he was guilty of a felony the moment he tried to get between I.C.E. and the "ILLEGAL" alien.
By dano1 on Monday, January 26, 2026 - 3:32 pm:
no question in my mind that much of the issue's with the protest in Minneapolis against ICE is no question due to the hatred the far left has for Pres. Trump. (as 7:09 stated)
What semi-intelligent person would be for letting people who illegally immigrated here (USA) not be picked up and rightfully deported ?????
Do any of you (that are obviously liberal and Trump haters) ever watch the show To catch a Smuggler on TV?
Hell, other countries that find a person trying to illegal gain access to their country get IMMEDIATLY deported on the next flight back to where they came from.
Get real you on the LEFT!
By deicer on Monday, January 26, 2026 - 5:05 pm:
The two victims who were murdered by ice were law abiding U.S citizens. Nobody has a problem with rounding up illegal aliens and deporting them. Unfortunately that’s not what is happening.
