So you are in a serious relationship and a male friend ask for a ride due to car troubles..you offered to take your girlfriend for the ride and she assume she will sit in the back seat because she doesnt want to go through the trouble of seat changing...So am I wrong for getting annoyed and asking her like WTF do u mean.. To me it is and should be an automatic move she sits in the front, thats her place. And if I picked up my friend or anyone then pick her up they know to get their asses in the back seat. Am I over emphasizing that she should know and own her place ...Dont get me wrong if we had a child and she sat back there to be with the child I understand.. Its like if am with a friend and i am in the front seat but they are picking up their significant other or spouse i know to get my ass in the back and yeild respect for that couple....Pls Dont make this a political or sexual conversation either.
Seriously? Is this that big of a problem for you? And how often do you have to even worry about something like this. lol
Its not but dont feel like am over reacting either. I just feel by now she should know like hey am the queen and I sit up front..

In my experience if i have a friend with me my wife will say to him "I'll sit in the back you sit-up front"
46 years married and that's the way it's always been. I don't have issue with that

If she knew her place she would have offered to drive while you and your buddy chugged beers in the back. Sounds like you need some good ole fashioned male role models, the ones that don't recognise feelings. You must be in the new age generation I read about occasionally.

Daughter moves to the back seat when I ride with them and DIL stays in the front seat with my son when I ride with them, no big deal for me because I don’t have to drive in either scenario.
For what it's worth, DIL moves to the back seat when I ride with them. It doesn't matter to me either way, I assume she is just trying to be nice. On the other hand, if my bf gives someone else a ride when I am in the car I am not giving my front seat!

IMHO, a man rides in front whenever possible because his legs are longer and the back seat space is tiny, like an airliner.
Whenever I ride with either son and his wife, I always ride shotgun, because I simply don't fit in the back with arthritus and all the rest.

next time let her ride in back but tell Ker she has to flash you in the rear view mirror while you drive you and your broke down buddy! Maybe buddy will get a tease as well.

I would always want my wife to sit in the front with me. Everyone else, backseat. Same with our couples friends. That's the way it's been for us.

My wife always wanted to sit between us.
