Morning Country. You sure have strange tattoos in unique places
Katie, can you help identify some of my freeloaders, I mean birds I'm feeding? I know the red one is a Cardinal. I also have a Bluejay, and a wood pecker, (not pictured) what are the smaller birds? Some have white bellies, some appear pinkish, some are light brown. They sure through a lot of food on the ground. Rabbits come in at night and feed.

Katie did you drive back home or fly ? glad you are back safe.
Many thanks for the eye candy...mmmm
en, hard to say with that photo... but in the last pic with the cardinal..it looks like house finch.

Good morning.
Too cold, even down here! Fut Dis!
By enjoyaunatural on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 - 9:04 am:
Frog,
Definitely not the best picture. Cellphone using the zoom. I think several of these are types of Finches. My wife calls some of these birds different names than what I grew up calling them...LOL different homes.
I haven't seen any Robins yet, but I did buy some meal worms for when they arrived too early with snow on the ground.

By pachatgirl on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 - 9:43 am:
EJ, the ones on feeder with cardnals are finches, Can't made out the ones on ground picture too blurry. Most likey snow buntings, More likely mice get the grond seeds at night.
Hi night, sexy picture of Val
Frog ,we flew back. 4 delays Yuk!
No not heard from Plow, think he said he was going to visit daughter .
Hi Will
Katie

By enjoyaunatural on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 - 9:54 am:
Katie, might be mice, but the reason I say rabbits is because of the foot traffic coming from under my Arborviteas to the seed pile and returning back under the Arborviteas. I have bait boxes out for the voles and mice. Don't really see any evidence of them. Have had the boxes out since we moved in 2001. We had problems initially as this was a farm field.
I thought I saw Plow check in yesterday morning before the wrong duplicate coffee thread got deleted.

Morning all thanks mrsbr for the brew and thanks ladies for adding your eye candy. Tidewater fridgiid this morning temps in the teens. Still dealing with nerve damage from veracose vien procedure last Friday.
By enjoyaunatural on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 - 10:02 am:
Bcva, sorry to hear about the nerve damage. Is this a common problem or will it disappear soon?
Beautiful picture btw
By mrscountrygirl on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 - 10:04 am:
I'll take a stab at them en, though I'm far from being knowledgeable about birds. I'm with frog, the last picture looks like a finch, and in the middle picture along with the cardinal it's hard to tell but maybe they're a nonbreeding male American Goldfinch.

Morning 59.
Morning hawk, thanks for the val eye candy. Yeah, jg checked in on yesterday's coffee thread, look for it at 8:24 A.M.
Bc sorry to hear you're having nerve damage. Have you had the procedure before and if so did you have the same issue? Get better and thanks for the eye candy.
Morning all, enjoying first cup of coffee. Been out clearing neighbor's and my own driveway (started at 05:30). Got a grand total of 15" with this last storm. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their coffee.
By bcva on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 - 10:36 am:
Was first procedure and the Dr.says that the lazer technique causes heat and it will settle out with time. Have had veracose vien break and the bleeding and long healing time is why we tried the laser procedure. Thanks for asking..
By mrscountrygirl on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 - 10:47 am:
Hope it works for you bc and you recover from it quickly, good luck.
Morning nh, good man helping out the neighbors.

YesRej.. Check your email. Dentist is safe, secure and clean. My wife said so.
By mrscountrygirl on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 - 12:13 pm:
Yes I checked with my doctors to see if it was okay for me to shovel out my driveway (it's a long driveway.) All of them gave me a resounding no. Heart doctor said it was up to me, but he did say before I do to pick out my casket and the type of services I would like for my funeral. Never did care for that guy, LOL.
