50 years ago, Darryl Sittler of the Toronto Maple Leafs scored 10 points on the Boston Bruins.
6 goals and 4 assists. I witnessed that game. I was 10 and a Bruins fan.
I think that goalie Bruce Gamble never played again.

Missed it, was stationed in San Antonio at the time. As a kid we played a lot of hockey on the frozen crick (creek) and also at the local park. Watched a lot of Rockton Wheels games in the ice rink at the Wagon Wheel Lodge.

Reece is known best for surrendering eleven goals against the Toronto Maple Leafs on February 7, 1976, which included six goals and four assists for Darryl Sittler, setting an NHL-record ten points in one game. He was in net as a replacement for starters Gerry Cheevers and Gilles Gilbert. Reece played the whole game and was never pulled by coach Don Cherry. The game was Reece's last NHL appearance

I wasn't at Maple Leaf Gardens that night but I did watch the game on tv. The record still stands. It almost hurts me to say 50 years ago.

They celebrated Sittler's record last night and the Laughs got spanked by Buffalo.
