By mrsbr13102 on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 - 6:14 am:

It's 9° heading to 21 with light white shytt falling.
Got a broken firewood processor to fix today, at least I can do it in the shop and not out in the weather.
Stud, we aren't collecting any sap, but we have gotten back to tapping trees, hope to have 500 more done this week.
Happy Hump Day!

Good morning and thanks for the coffee.

BR-good to know about tapping trees.
I make parts for the Bells Wood processors.

What’s broken on yours? It’s usually the splitter. Especially if you’re splitting oak and hard maple. Like splitting steel.

Have a good day folks.

Going to walk 4 km by snowshoe after work.

Good Morning all. Thanks for the fine Black Rifle brew Mrs. Br. on this fine Hump Day! Thanks also for the fine Hump Day Eye Candy!!

Clear and a balmy 15 degrees this AM up here in NY.

GM: Stud and assmens. And, a big GM to all of our friends that have not stopped in yet for the good cheer, eye candy and of course fine caffeine.

Some Hump Day Treats >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

And of course what would Hump Day be without Val offering a good Humping>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

By mrsbr13102 on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 - 6:49 am:

Good Morning ass
Stud, from what I've seen, Bells are good machines, this is a "chomper" and it had a hydraulic cylinder mount start ripping off, it will take more time getting it apart than to actually weld it up. Have fun snowshoeing, It's been a while since I've had on snowshoes.

GM hawk, thanks for the treats!

Good morning , Yall. Nothing special about the weather down here today. Starting off cold, ending up warm. We are approaching the season where we can have all four seasons in one day. Spring will start punching soon but Winter will not be ready to drop.

Thanks Val and mrsbr for the eye inspiration! Have a great day stud and assmens.

Good morning Everyone. 2° going to 20° today.

Sure glad I'm not out tapping trees. Now tapping other warm things are definitely a serious consideration :-)

Hoping to replace the battery in my wifes car this morning. Ran all over yesterday trying to get a replacement, even took one home, but had to return it. Got another being shipped in today. Hoping it fits. She has a 2009 Nissan Versa with the original Nissan Battery. Can't believe it has lasted this long! Yes, I said 2009. Not a typo. If the battery coming in thus morning doesn't fit, I'll be going to Nissan for an expensive battery. Not that I was trying to be cheap. Just don't like who owns my local Nissan car dealership.

Have a great day Everyone!

Good morning One & All!

Thank you MrsBR for starting the coffee!

Also, my gratitude to the Beautiful Ladies for the "eye candy"!

MtsBR: We don't tap our trees for another week or two. P;d expression used is it is time when the peep frogs sing.

God bless you for tapping that many trees! A ton of work but the end result is always worth it!

Thanks for the coffee, make mine hot and big.

Enjoying the eye candy, many thanks

EN.. I know how you feel about getting items from a car dealer you don't like or trust..
I had a run in with the only Toyota dealer where we used to live.. T wanted a new Runner to replace her older one and I refused.. ended up with a Honda Pilot..much nicer dealer.

Have fun stay safe.

By willdraw59 on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 - 8:28 am:

More cold in the Northeast weekend -0 Firewood is the job today.

By stud13 on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 - 9:05 am:

z062,
Up here when the spring peepers sing, it means the smelt are running......usually around May 1st

BR,
I was snowmobiling in Quebec one time at the end of March and ran into 2 guys sitting in a sugar shack operation. It was too cold for the sap to run but it was any day now.
It was a commercial operation, diesel engine hooked up to miles of lines with suction into stainless tanks...

Anyways they had 15,000 trees taped on their lines. I'm guessing it was 1000+ acres of trees.
They produced truckloads of maple syrup.

Hello all, and thanks MrsBR for the always good hot cup of USA Caffeine. Thanks for the start.

PAChat - No, I didn't sleep in I am just lazy sometimes. I made my 3.5 mile daily walk first then having a 2nd cup of MrsBR's fine brew to chime in here.

Peek-A-Boob Dee ! ! !
CoupleNM - Looks delicious and tempting. Makes my tongue hard just considering it.

Enough making a fool of myself. Thanks again MrsBR for the cup. Hope all are doing well, staying warm and enjoying their day.

EN - Hope you see continued improvement with your arm.

Hawk, I will be happy to take a humping from Ms Val, any time, any where. Thanks for all the treats.

Thank you for the welcome PAChatGirl! You are a sweetheart!

Stud13 @ 9:05 Our tell for smelt fishing is when the forsythia blooms.

Pretty interesting how different areas use signs huh?

Hi, checking back in.

Well, success on the wifes car battery! Willdraw, I'm 100% impressed with how long that Nissan battery lasted! Don't know if Nissan makes their own batteries, but this is amazing. It was a 2009 Nissan Versa that we bought New. Never changed the battery. Picture added. This car is good for at least another 10 years. We buy New and drive till we are too embarrassed to be seen in them. No Car Payments! My 2013 Ram 1500 is embarrassing me already. Rusting out. The 2009 Nissan has No Rust! I'll buy Japanese next time.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes with my arm and now my opposite hand surgery for a Trigger Finger (thumb) Wife ask just yesterday, "what will be next?" I told her I already have things in the works that I haven't told her about yet. Retirement is definitely going to be painful for me. Not going to a nursing home. Would dissapear in the woods before that happens. Not today though. No worries.
