Favorite Bourbon - What's yours?

I am pretty much a Bourbon drinker, it's my drink of choice 90% of the time. I will have a Margarita with some good Tex-Mex, or an Old Fashioned when the bartender knows what he/she is doing. However day in day out bourbon OTR (on the rox) is my go to. Jim Beam or Wellers typically. I have a few other brands in the cabinet for special occasions.
If you're a Bourbon drinker, what's your brand.

Rabbit hole Dareringer is my favorite

I’m a beer drinker but back in the day we used to do tequila shots. Now I enjoy an occasional shot of Crown Royal Apple Whiskey.
I too am a bourbon drinker. When it comes to cocktails I primarily drink Manhattans. Although I avoid using ‘good’ bourbon in mixed drinks I also don’t like some of the cheaper stuff mixed.
For mixed drinks I use Buffalo Trace, Makers, or Woodford Reserve
Straight OTR my bourbon of choice is Elmer T. Lee and if possible (less often due to costs) I really like Garrison Brothers ‘Guadalupe’
I’ve had Pappy Van Winkle. I don’t think it lived up to the hype.
The street.

Well, I have several favorites depending on my mood...lol. Yellowstone is by far my favorite, followed by my B&B which isn't a Bourbon. It's Brandy & Benedictine. I also love an occasional Scotch.

North, a man after my own heart. Elmer T Lee is my go too. My old preference was Eagle 17. Expensive and hard to come by. However, the lower proof of ETL makes it friendlier, either neat or on the rocks,
Jim Beam is our everyday Bourbon. We have been trying some higher tier bourbons such as Heaven Hill, Elija Craig, Woodford Reserve, Makers, Four Roses, Bulleit, Knob Creek, 1792, Buffalo Trace and others.
I have done some blindfolded taste test and honestly, I can’t say any one is better than the other. They are all good, just different. Maybe my sense of taste and sense of smell just aren’t as sensitive as others. It is a fun experiment though.
I have not had the opportunity to try Pappy yet…..
The next one.

I'm primarily a beer drinker, but I do enjoy my whiskey from time to time. For mixed drinks I use my standard of 50 years, Jack Daniels Old No. 7. For my sipping whiskey I usually have Makers Mark.

Wow that's like asking a rock fan what their favorite Rock song of all time is!
Depends on my mood and what I've had lately.
I'm with you guys on the Elmer T Lee being a nice lower-proof smooth sipper. It's really hard to find here in NJ so when I get a bottle I cherish it.
Benchmark, EW BIB and in a pinch Jim Beam are our usual mixing bottles. Manhattans and Old Fashions are both great drinks and easy to make at home.
When we get Eagle Rare 10 in stores we quickly buy them up! Fantastic pour IMO.
I could post a lengthy list of others I enjoy on the regular. That's the fun of being a bourbon drinker you can just keep rotating thru, trying newer brands and going back to your old favorites.
Colonel EH Taylor is my favorite higher price point bottle these days. Again living in NJ has been rough on us bourbon drinkers as the Distilleries for some reason allocate very low volumes to NJ and the Store owners allocate them to only their highest paying customers.
It was legalized Scalping IMO and am thrilled to read that since the bourbon market is crashing that stores are now sitting on and receiving more bottles that used to be hard to find.
Hopefully the prices drop too. Prior to COVID ER 10 was like a $40 bottle here, if you could even find one thru COVID it would be triple that price. Just pure price gouging!

For the price it’s hard to beat Heaven Hills bottled in Bond
I think I want to try some of that Double D batch of Eagle Rare

Evan Williams BIB costs 30 USD for 1.75l
no one else I know drinks Bourbon or I would spend more
In 1964, the U.S. Congress officially recognized bourbon whiskey as a distinctive product of the United States.
Drink American..

Jack Daniels is my favorite, followed by Jim Beam and Hornitos Tequila! Straight up, no mix.

When i partook of Alchol my preference was Tennessee Sour mash. Except when in Scotland then of course scotch.

Just to catch up, I have a bottle of 20 year old Pappy that I paid $120 for before it went out of sight.
I wish I had bought many more.
I also have a bottle of Pappy 15 year and a bottle of "Bookers" (Beam product that is 137 proof).
Good stuff. Day in day out as I said, it's Beam and/or Wellers.

To repeat my coffee thread comment
Buffalo Trace is my favorite, Red Stag would be the choice if mrsbr is joining in.
Everybody raves about pappy's, but I'll pass, eagle rare is ok, but not anything I'd buy.
Bitch is, when I started drinking Buffalo Trace, it was $27 a bottle, during the height of the "shortage" you couldn't get it for under $60, it's back down to $36 or so around here.
I was recently given a bottle of Elijah Craig which wasn't bad.
Now about that drink.....
I've tried many, but keep coming back to Jim Beam, and Makers Mark is pretty good, too. Now I know it's not bourbon, okay, but a good friend, who's retired from the Air Force, buys liquor on the Wichita Air Force Base. He had a bottle of Jamison that was absolutely fantastic. It was a long-aged bottle and when I saw the price on the bottle I kept buying Jim Beam, but it was great.
I'm not much of a drinker anymore....
but anyone try/like Shanky's Whip, it's an Irish whiskey liqueur.
Angels Envy Rye, 4 Roses select small batch

Pappy VAn Winkle 23 or Makers Mark cause its available everywhere
Try some George Dickel, Tullahoma Tn. Bout 50 miles from Jack Daniels distillery. If yer ever near Lynchburg Tn, go tour the JD distillery. Been years since I was there. Pretty cool. Use to be free. not sure bout now. I've drank JD a lot when younger. The George Dickel was a lot smoother to me.

Everyday all purpose, Maker’s, Buffalo Trace, Knob Creek.
Little higher end, Weller Green Label, Eagle Rare.
I’m really into EH Taylor lately.
I’ve ha all of the Pappy’s and in my opinion the 12 year is the best.
Cheers!

Great thread!!!
My everyday used to be Wild Turkey 101. Great, but needed to chill.
Found Benchmark, for the money...great sip!
Favorites...Love all the Buffalo Trace pours.
Jefferson's Ocean is out of this world.
Have'nt tried the Col Taylor yet...it's on the list.
I have not seen Weller anywhere local, would like to get my hands on that.
