Video converter

Hi we have loads of video's we want to put up on here, but we need a good video converter, we keep getting told it's the wrong format, plus what is the best format to change them to to post ?.

I use freeconvert.
Just add a .com to freeconvert.

I convert my mp4's to
MOV and they post fine.
