Is Le Trapeze still around on E. 27th Street? Also, there used to be a couples club in lower Manhattan.... Anita's, I believe. My girlfriend and I will be visiting soon and I'm looking for a place to take her. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Le Trapeze is still around. There is also a club called Checkmates. It's in the 50's on the eastside. Very clean and classy place.

Is a club like Le Trapeze ok for some pure virgin rookies to go to? We are visiting NY starting this Thursday night, and were hoping to find a place to experiment at.

I think that you'd like CheckMates more.
you should check out the Carousel club. Its in Queens. They allow single guys. It's located downstaires from Goldfingers on queens blvd. The wife love single night and now works there as a waitress.

What night and time is the Carousel Club at Goldfingers?
Monday & Friday nights are single guy and couple nights. You also get access to the strip club. The wife acts also as the hostess and has created more than a couple of good matches. She is looking forward to hooking up herself, its always possible. Saturday is couples only. Mon & Fri opens at 8:00 starts getting active soon after. Maybe I'll have her post a story of her adventure at the club when it was on premise.
