My wife and I went to a club called the Cherry Pit about eight years ago. It was between Dallas and Fort Worth. Does any body know if it is still there? Or has it's name been changed?

what's the story on that place, seen it but never stopped in?
My husband and I visited this club this past weekend. We had a great time and we highly recommend it.

mmm where is the cherry pitt located now??? It was closed at the old location??

The cherry pit is actually in Duncanville, Tx., just south of Dallas.
As of November, 2007, the city of Duncanville is trying to either find an existing law or make one up that will close the place down.
Don't know if they'll be successful.

UPDATE: AS OF NOVEMBER 06, 2007, THE DUNCANVILLE CITY COUNCIL PASSED AN ORDINANCE MAKING THE CHERRY PIT AND ANY SIMILAR ARRANGEMENT ILLEGAL IN THE TOWN. THEY HAVE SAID THEY ACTED IN RESPONSE TO PARKING COMPAINTS.
DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL BE CHALLENGED IN COURT, BUT AS OF NOV. 06, THE "PIT" IS OUT OF BUSINESS.

Update as of November 17, 2007:
The City of Duncanville, Tx., is now referring to the Cherry Pit as a "sexual oriented business" and is relying on that to allow their ordinance to stand, as the owners of the "pit" are going to challenge it in court. From what I have read in the papers, the "pit" is closed for the time being. Stay tuned; this could get interesting.
