My wife and I will be in New Orleans the first week of August and I'm trying to find some places to take her. She is not into sharing at all, but does enjoy being shown off and playing in public some. Are there any book stores or movie place that are couple friendly and clean?

there's an adult bookstore on Chef Menteur Highway. just take I-10 east and exit at Chef, make a u-turn..... you'll see it

There's Mr. Binky's on Paris road Cleaner, new theatres, big selection & reasonable prices.
DO NOT GO TO CHEF MENTEUR!! Romeo and Juliet’s in Elmwood. Very clean.
