Just returned from Caliente Resort. Overall we had a very pleasant experience
We stayed in a one bedroom condo. it was modernized with large screen flat screen TV, the NEST heating thermostat, good shower pressure, clean with a full kitchen. Also was a screen balcony. Rated A
There are two restaurants one of which was a sports bar the other more formal dining experience. Service was very good and the food was excellent. Try the Pizza, the best we had at a sports bar. Price was high We rated the restaurant an A but because of pricing we gave food service a "B"
The nightclub and piano bar area were pleasant, clean and everyone seemed to be very friendly. The areas are laid out to make people easily talk to each other if they so desire to make friends, or at least be able to observe others. The night club at night was a mixture of fully dressed people to those who were partly to almost nude. We were happy we dressed sexy but not nude because that seemed like the norm. Drink prices were high. Overall we rate the lounges a "B", but except for pricing it is an "A"
We enjoyed lounging around the pool area under beach style Tike huts one day then normal lounge chairs the next. The pool offered escape from the heat and an opportunity to meet new people. We have to say the people in the pool are very friendly. This pool has a big waterfall that was flowing while we were there.
You actually can spend the entire day in the pool area enjoying the two large pools, the conversation pool and the hot tub. The Tike bar next to the pool always had something going on, karaoke or live entertainment all day. There is free pop corn and free ice water available all day while in the pool area. Live bands performed on the main stage.
From the pool area you can order food and the servers will bring it right to your lounge chair if you desire, just charge it to your room and relax, There is never any need to carry cash around with you while at the resort.
We did not partake in the spa, just did not have time or the Gym. We did tour the gym and it was well equipped
In the evening we dined at the restaurant or sports bar then checked out the club scene. The dancing was always fun! The club was packed, and you had a interesting mix of traditional nudists and Life Style swingers. The dress was anywhere from nude to elegant.
Pro:
- The main Club House is absolutely beautiful, spacious and houses a restaurant, club, spa, sauna, shops, gym, piano bar, yoga studio and a sports bar.
- The restaurant served excellent food as did the sports bar
- Great resort Security Team, they really did not allow anyone in that did not pay and they do inspect all bags, no exceptions.
- Amazing pool areas
- Very friendly people, but isn't that what lifestyle people are all about.
- No pressure if not in the lifestyle, nudists are welcome here without any expectations
- room prices are not high, priced like a modest holiday inn
Con:
-You can't access the pool areas from your room at the hotel, you must go through the club house
-The pricing for everything was higher then expected. We paid $22 for sun screen which costs $8 at CVS. Food and drinks were higher then we thought they should be, with the exception of happy hour beer tubs
If you are in the Life-Style, the upper level conversation pool and hot tub area is a couples play area after 10pm, but if that is not your thing just avoid that upper deck level late in the evening.
- The demographics were 25-60 years, a mixture of locals, Life Style, nudist and first timers ... We found the guests to be a friendly if you approached them, but not pushy if you wanted to avoid interacting with others.
We would highly recommend this place to all couples. We thank each and everyone at Caliente Resort for making our time there a very memorable experience.. and OH YES, We Will Be Back !!!!
